Both your parents had military backgrounds, meaning you moved a lot as a child. Once they retired they moved to central London. You'd visit often, checking in on them, making sure they were taking care of themselves.
One day on your way over, you ran into Martha Jones, spilling coffee all over the her. You promised to buy her another coffee and shirt. To which she held you to, by programming her number into your phone. You both hit it off and saw each other once a week.
It wasn't long before you starting dating. And now your family started asking about her, wondering when they'd be able to meet her. You were afraid of how it would be.
