It was your best friends (bachelorette/bachelor) party. Which meant you'd be gone for the weekend. Now usually you'd never go to something like this, but you were the (maid of honor/ best man). So, you couldn't turn it down.
You've been traveling/living with the Doctor for almost five years. So you didn't spend many nights away from him. It wasn't a bad thing. You loved spending time together. It's just nice to get away every once in a while.
Before you left you made sure he knew: when to pick you up, not to go into your room, and to not do anything stupid while you were gone.
Once that door was closed he started dancing.
"We're finally alone again!" He cheered. However the T.A.R.D.I.S didn't like that responses and started making noises you wouldn't have been able to understand.
