Martha's family wasn't the greatest. They often argue, creating massive scenes in pubic. You know that deep,deep down they loved each other. They just had issues. However sometime it was too much for Martha. She didn't want to get involved, but she also didn't want to just sit there either. At first she tries to get them to stop but it never works. So, she'll just get up and leave.
In hopes of protecting her, you invited her for Thanksgiving dinner. Your parents loved her and embraced her as a member of the family. You knew it was a long shot, but you hoped she except.
