(Ash's POV)
The vines were attacking us.
My Pokemon are down except for Pikachu. I quickly returned them to their Pokeballs and kept on fighting.
Pikachu was attacking the vines back while I tackled them even more.
All of a sudden, one of the vines hit me and sent me flying.
I fell down to the ground and quickly got back up again.
Everything was a blur.
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
I hear Pikachu screaming.
But I can't get up.
My vision went back to normal and I saw Pikachu on the ground, unconscious.
I ran up to Pikachu and grabbed it.
But the vines took Pikachu back and threw it high into the air.
I didn't know what to do.
Pikachu was in trouble.
What CAN I do?
That was when Pikachu was whipped by the vines themselves and hit a tree.
Pikachu is still unconscious.
I had no time to get to it before the vines did.
I ran anyways.
But then, a blur came and then it was gone.
I looked at Pikachu but it was nowhere to be found.
Then, Pikachu is all of a sudden in my arms.
The vines are about to attack us. I fell to the ground, covering Pikachu.
I braced for impact.
Nothing happened.
I heard a something yelling in agony.
I looked up to see a fallen Greninja right in front of me.
It tries to get up.
We made eye contact and that was when I realized... that this Greninja... is mine!
Greninja gets back up and uses Cut on the vines.
The vines are now gone.
Greninja falls to the ground.
I ran up to it while holding Pikachu in my arms.
"Greninja!" I say.
I check to see if it's alright and it can no longer stand up.
It happened again.
I remember... that day... when I first met Greninja.
It was a little Froakie back then.
Team Rocket had interrupted my battle with Clemont.
Pikachu uses Electro Ball but their Wobbuffet had deflected it back at Pikachu which causes twice as much damage.
Pikachu was about to get hit but then a Froakie appeared.
It got hit by the doubled Electric type attack.
It fell to the ground.
It saved Pikachu.
Like right now... it saved me AND Pikachu.
