A/N!

This takes place in the episode called Hollow Queen, from season 5, episode 8. I did a tiny Merthur moment...

I have no idea who owns the picture up above, but it is perfect for this situation. All the credit goes to the owner.

Give me some writing ideas! See ya fellas! Love you!

The king and queen were eating in their chambers. Merlin, on the other hand, was serving them, like always. Merlin put the silver plates in front of the royal ones. The young man's head hurt, so did his legs. He tried to walk as properly as he was able to, but the wound still hurt him. He had no time to heal his leg or strength to make the wound disappear. He had been bloody damn fooled.

''I still can't believe how lucky I was. I owe that boy my life and I don't know who he was or where he's from. You need to make sure you give him a decent burial.'' Merlin thought Arthur was proud of his luckiness. Only if Arthur knew...

Merlin turned away from the royal couple. The warlock knew there was something wrong with Guinevere. And she had the be dealt with.

''I'll do that. If you'll allow me the time,'' Merlin answered. The boy needed a decent burial. He had been a kind-souled man in the end, and Merlin couldn't be more proud.

The king's voice hit Merlin's head, ''Oh, so you can go and visit that girl again.'' The queen looked at Arthur, and Merlin saw that gaze. Merlin hadn't seen a girl that day. He had been dying.

And now Merlin was a hundred percent sure, there was something wrong with Guinevere. There was no other way Arthur knew where Merlin was. Gaius didn't know where the young man was. Gaius could have been fooled Arthur by telling that Merlin was in the tavern. Guinevere wouldn't tell something like that.

Only she would tell Arthur that Merlin was with a girl.

''What?'' Merlin decided to play the role.

Arthur had a tone of jealousy and surprise in his voice. He was judging Merlin's reactions, ''The girl.''

''Don't have one,'' The servant simply added.

''That's not what Guinevere tells me.''

Merlin had been right. The younger man looked at the queen. She just smiled back at her friend.

Still, a bit mocking voice from Arthur confused Merlin, ''So, why don't you tell us all about her?'' Merlin ignored Arthur's question as he poured some wine to Arthur's glass. Merlin felt Guinevere's eyes on him. And that made Merlin a bit uncomfortable. But he needed to play the role.

Merlin turned to Guinevere and poured some wine to her glass, too. Guinevere kept smiling at Merlin and lifted her eyebrows.

''Right,'' Merlin murmured to Guinevere's smile.

Merlin's walk wasn't getting any better as he just focused on Guinevere's plan. Arthur saw immediately Merlin's weird walking style. Arthur took a sip from his drink,  ''And why you're walking with a limp.''

Merlin kept looking at Guinevere. Arthur felt annoyed as his servant didn't pay attention to him. His friend was looking at his wife. Arthur's feeling raced.

And he started to feel jealous. But he couldn't understand why he felt jealous. And he was not going to admit that to himself.

''Will you?'' Arthur continued. Now Merlin checked at Arthur before he limped away from the queen. Guinevere continued eating as she looked at Arthur. The king was not going to buy Merlin's story if it wasn't continued.
