It was dark and it was raining. But, by the schedule and the order of the king, the knights needed to be trained. And the men did as the king wanted.

Merlin knew how knights trained. Footwork needed to be perfect- Arthur's wasn't today. He kept crumbling to his feet. Leon saw it too. As he fought with Arthur, he gave him some mercy. Leon had the right chance to made Arthur fall to his back.

''Why didn't you attack? You would have won me,'' Arthur pointed out as he poked the sword down on the wet ground. Leon put his sword down too, ''I could have hurt you, sire.''

''That is the point. This is fighting- it hurts. If you have another opening, do not misuse it.''

Leon did misuse his another chance. Merlin rolled his eyes to Leon, he should not have done it. Now Arthur would be very angry.

Arthur made Leon fall to the wet grass because the other knight was too honorable. Arthur got furious, ''I told you not to waste it.''

''I would never hurt you, sire.''

Arthur wanted this training to end. He commanded the knights to leave. They all were exhausted, so was the prince himself. Merlin took the knights' swords, expect Arthur's. He still held it in his hand.

''What is going on with me?! Uff- I hate sword fighting.''

Merlin raised his eyebrows as he put down the swords, ''I thought you loved it, sire.''

Arthur continued behind Merlin, looking at his hands, ''I do, I just-''

Merlin took one of the swords from the pile and went forward Arthur, ''Here, let me.''

Arthur got confused by Merlin's actions, ''Pardon me?'' Merlin rolled his eyes, ''Just, once in your lifetime, do as I tell you.''

Arthur's face still had a surprised look. Merlin just commanded his master, ''Take the charging position.'' Now the prince laughed, ''Merlin, remember that I am the prince. You are the servant, I give the ord-''

''Just do it.''

Arthur did as Merlin asked, after a few times of thinking. What was Merlin planing?

Merlin moved Arthur's other leg a bit downward. Arthur had not realized that his right leg had been too close to his left- why hadn't the prince noticed this? Merlin also moved, tenderly, the prince's sword hand a bit towards his body. Next, Merlin walked behind Arthur and put both of his hands on the other man's shoulders.

''Relax your shoulders,'' Merlin required, ''You are as tense as your sword.'' Arthur frowned. He was taking orders from his servant. What the hell was this?

''I am not tense,'' Arthur pointed. He knew this was false. He was tensed. His muscles hurt and it took a lot of work to hold a position like this and hold a sword after a long time of training. Merlin put his hand against Arthur's back and pushed a bit, ''Aren't you?'' His touch made Arthur wince. He admitted to himself that he was tense. The prince was in the need of the massage.

Merlin let his hands fall from Arthur's shoulders. He came back in front of Arthur. The prince saw how wet Merlin was from the rain, he could get sick.

''You'll get sick.''

''Nah, you will be the first one.''

''You can not get your chores done.''

''I'll do those, sick or not,'' Merlin pointed out. Arthur had seen that happen. Merlin did his chores, was he sick or not. Arthur held his position, as Merlin swung his sword, smoothy. That surprised Arthur.

He got off guard as Merlin did the first attack. Arthur defended himself, but he wasn't ready to believe that Merlin knew how to use a sword. Merlin had always been so helpless and defenseless when they got attacked. Arthur did not believe this.

Merlin did the hit towards Arthur's 3rd. Arthur protected his left side. He swung Merlin's sword away from his sides and then looked at Merlin's eyes. His servant had head start- Arthur had never seen Merlin fight with a sword. Merlin had watched Arthur fight with his knights every day. Merlin knew how Arthur fought.

Arthur his Merlin's 5th. Arthur tried to use Merlin's weak spot, his head, to make him yield. But Merlin seemed like he knew that this was coming. He covered himself flawlessly. And that pestered Arthur. The prince didn't understand how this man even kept standing on his feet. Merlin was so clumsy all the time.

Now Arthur concentrated at his own footwork. He needed to be better than his servant. He couldn't lose to his servant.

Arthur, constantly, attacked with fury. Merlin had no choice but to go back toward the castle wall. The prince's hits were still too strong for Merlin to fight back. Arthur could lift Merlin with one arm, Merlin had witnessed it happen. His master was too strong to fight back as he was mad. Arthur bit his teeth together so he wouldn't shout in the dark.

One final swung, and Merlin's sword was gone in a second. Arthur held his blade against Merlin's chest and pushed him harshly against the cool stone. Merlin's head jerked backward and hit the wall. Arthur took his own blade away from his servant's chest and threw it away from them.

Now Arthur was very tense. He pushed Merlin against the wall, with his whole arm. His other hand held Merlin's collars tightly. The weight of Arthur's was pressed supremely against Merlin's body. Two pairs of blue eyes shared a look.

''Where did you learn to fight like that?'' Arthur growled deeply, with a quiet voice. Arthur watched as the raindrops fell from Merlin's hair to his own hands.

''I just watch and learn from you,'' Merlin pointed. The brunette and blond shared a violent look.

''Then do,'' Arthur sighed. Arthur took a tight crip from Merlin's right shoulder and pulled him towards him. Arthur's mouth crashed against his servant's.

And Merlin watched as Arthur kissed him angrily.
