Harry was at Spinner's End on the couch with Snape. He had told Snape how they figured it all out. He also told Snape why his 2 friends suspected Malfoy and used Polyjuice Potion to try and get a confession out of him. He told Snape how Hermione came up with the plan and how she had Ron throw that firework. Though Snape wasn't happy with Harry's friend for stealing ingredients from his stores, he was impressed that Hermione was able to brew it at such a young age. He had to admit, Hermione was a clever and bright girl. It was now July 31st, Harry's 13th birthday. Harry was reading, when Snape walks into Harry's room carrying a birthday cake as he sang Happy Birthday to Harry, all 13 candles were lit. Harry grins, makes the same wish as before and blows out the candles. Snape smiles and sets the cake on the desk, telling Harry that he can have a piece later. Suddenly, 3 owls come flying through the open window. 2 of the owls were carrying Erroll, who had apparently passed out. They land on the table next to his bed and flies back out the window. Snape who was in the bedroom with him, shakes his head sympathetically as he lifts Erroll and sets him down on Harry's desk with bowl of water. Erroll hoots gratefully and begins to drink the water. Harry opens his envelope to see a letter and a photograph, along a newspaper clipping. The newspaper clipping read:

MINISTRY OF MAGIC EMPLOYEE SCOOPS GRAND PRIZE

Arthur Weasley, Head of the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts

Office at the Ministry of Magic, has won the

annual Daily Prophet Grand Prize Galleon Draw.

A delighted Mr. Weasley told the Daily Prophet,

"We will be spending the gold on a summer holiday

in Egypt, where our eldest son, Bill, works as a

curse breaker for Gringotts Wizarding Bank."

The Weasley family will be spending a month in

Egypt, returning for the start of the new school

year at Hogwarts, which five of the Weasley children

currently attend.

Snape sits on the bed and reads over Harry's shoulder. He said, "I must congratulate Arthur for winning the drawing at the Ministry. They deserve the prize more than anyone else." Harry smiles, "Yeah I'll write back and congratulate them, too. " Snape smiles, as Harry lifts the moving picture and grins. All 9 of the Weasley were waving up at him from the photograph. There was Mrs. Weasley, Mr. Weasley, their six sons and one daughter, all (though the black-and-white picture didn't show it) had flaming-red hair. Right in the middle of the picture was Ron with his pet rat, Scabbers, on his shoulder and his arm around his little sister, Ginny. Snape was right, Harry couldn't think of anyone else who deserved the large pile of gold more, than the Weasleys. They were so nice, but very poor. Harry sets the picture down and picks up Ron's letter. It read:

Dear Harry,

Happy birthday! It's amazing here in Egypt! Bill has taken us around all the

tombs and you wouldn't believe the curses those old Egyptian

wizards put on them. Mum wouldn't let Ginny come in

the last one. There were all these mutant skeletons in there,

of Muggles who had broken in and grown extra heads and

stuff. I couldn't believe it when Dad won the Daily Prophet

Draw! Seven hundred galleons! Most of it is gone on this trip,
