Inangat ko ang isang kamay sa ere habang sinasabayan ng indak at pagkanta ang musika mula sa speaker ng sasakyan ko. I've been playing this song nonstop.

Mula sa daan ay dumako ang tingin ko sa malaking arko. In my fast driving, I barely manage to read what's written on it. The word 'Welcome to Tyne' is boldy written on the arc.

Bahagya kong binagalan ang pagtakbo ng mapasin ang dalawang lalaking nakatayo ilang metro ang layo pag lampas ko ng arko. They are wearing some kind of uniform that made me think that they belong to the local police. Probably patrolling, but for what?

Huminto ako sa harap ng isa, pinatay ko ang radyo at binuksan ang bintana. I've been driving for more or less seven hours now. My back is killing me and I am starving.

"Hi." Nakangiting bati ko rito. The guy gave me a suspicious and unwelcome look but I choose to ignore it. "Is there any fast food or resto nearby?"

The man's eyes lingers on my face longer than I like. I am about to go bitch mode when his hand motioned the straight road.

"There is a diner ahead. Just 3 kilometers away from here." He answered in a flat tone.

"Thank you..." Ngumiti ako ng pagkatamis tamis rito.

Muli kong iniangat ang bintana ng sasakyan at saka pinaharurot ang sasakyan tungo sa direksyon na sinabi nito.

From my side mirror, I am able to see that the other guy approaches him. Marahil ay nais nitong malaman kong anu ang itinanong ko sa kasama niya. One of the men pull out his walkie talkie and radio something on the other line.

Napailing na lang ako at muling itinuon ang tingin sa daan. They look so alarmed with my presence. What the heck is their problem?

Ilang sandali pa ay inihinto ko ang sasakyan sa tabi ng diner na palagay ko ay tinutukoy nito. I get out of the car and take a glance at the exterior of it. I nod in approval, this place looks good. I hope it is the same as their food.

Papasok na ako sa diner ng mahagip ng tingin ko ang isang bulto ng tila malaking aso hindi kalayuan mula sa kinatatayuan ko. It was standing in the middle of the open meadow and is looking at me intently.

Wow? They have wolves in this area? The wind blows towards me and that's when I caught a sweet scent that seems enough to make me light headed. Pines and mints. Damn, I never thought that smelling such scent would be this satisfying.

Ibinalik ko ang atensyon sa tumutunog kong sikmura at binuksan ang pinto ng diner. A bell chime rings, making everyone in the diner raise their head and look at me. Some people inside throw me a curious look but I am too occupied with the sweet scent of steak and mashed potatoes. Damn! I swear I can hear my stomach growl in hunger.

Umupo ako sa upuan sa tapat ng marmol na countertop. This place seems famous judging on how many people is eating at it at the moment. It is not even dinner time yet.

"Hi," Umangat ang tingin ko sa waitress ng ilapag nito ang isang baso ng tubig sa harap ako. A friendly smile is painted on her lips. "What can I get you?"

I look at the menu in front of me and smile. Damn, everything looks delish. I literally want to order everything.

Instead of choosing one of item in the menu, I raise my head to the woman and ask. "Can you give me your bestseller?"
