Ramdam ko ang lamig ng pagdampi sa balat ko ng panggabing hangin subalit hindi ko magawang makaramdam pagkaginaw. Hindi ko alam kung dahil ba iyon sa malaking bonfire na nasa harap namin o dahil sadyang naguumpisa na akong mamanhid.

‘I promise that your death won’t come to waste little angel.’ Mahinang bulong ko sa hangin habang nakatitig sa tumpok na kahoy na unti-unting kinakain ng pulang apoy.

The burning woodsy scent coming from the bonfire is somehow giving a relaxing vibe throughout the place but for some reason it is not enough to calm the raging anger inside of me. They have cross the line when they decided to do a rampage just to get me killed. I don’t even care right now if in the end I’ll be the one to die. Death doesn’t scare me, what scares me is if the innocent people around me will end up taking the bullet in my behalf. Just like what happened the last time.

Though I am not really the kind of woman who loves to rely on others, I can’t deny the fact that I am loving the comfort that my mates are providing. Also I got this weird obsession on medicinal plants and poisonous herbals and their affects on human body.” Greyson remained silent as I open up that part of me that is not really a secret to anyone in Rouen. I wonder how was my farm is doing, how about my workers? I really hope Tito is holding on well on running the farm without me.

“That doesn’t explain your knowledge on hand on hand combat?” I turn to look at him and smirk. The raging fire in front of us is lighting up his eyes and I can’t help but be amaze at the two burning orbs that seems to be looking at my soul directly.

“Rylan’s father is a general in the military, he is kinda hoping that he would be able to recruit both of us.” Nakangisi kong wika. I used to hate Tito Andre when he is forcing me to train with Rylan but now I can’t help but be thankful that he trained me to be capable of protecting myself. The world are full of monsters, you need to learn to be your own hero and save yourself.
