Laviñia's P.O.V.

I look at Greyson with disbelief written on my eyes. "Wait, let me clarify this. You wanted me to pack up and stay in your house?"

His eyes is serious so I know that he ain't joking.

"We won't risk the fact that the inspector can revisit this inn any moment. We just need to make sure that you are safe." Wika nito na ikinataas ng kilay ko.

"Why are you so concerned about me?" Takang tanong ko rito. "Why do you care so much about me? I'm literally a stranger to you. Aren't you even going to consider the fact that I could be the bad person in this case? Police are after me."

Ngumisi si Greyson sa winika ko. "Trust me, even if you are the bad person I am more capable of strangling you if I want to. Now pack your things up and you are staying in my house."

Napabuntong hininga na lang ako. Not that I want to stay here, of course I am aware that the inspector can go back anytime. Hindi lang ako mapalagay sa isiping magkasama kami sa iisang tahanan.

"You should listen to him Laviñia. The man who's looking for you seems too determined to find you." Napalingon ako kay Annette. Sa itsura nito ay tila kapapasok lang nito sa loob ng inn.

"I guess I don't have much of a choice then. Okay. Let me just pack up my stuffs." Tumayo ako mula sa couch at saka humakbang pabalik sa silid ko.

"Do you need help?" Napahinto ako sa paghakbang at napatingin kay Annette.

"It is okay. I only brought few stuffs so I can manage." Sagot ko bago nagpatuloy sa paghakbang sa silid.

Nakahinga ako ng maluwag ng maisara ko ang pinto ng silid. I walk towards the bed and pull my travelling bag from it. Then I walk towards the closet and open it to take few of my dresses that is folded neatly inside.

"You have a collection of needles. Interesting..." Nanlaki ang mata ko at agad napaligon sa kama.

"How the fuck are you able to get in here?" Kunot noong tanong ko rito. I remember closing the door a while ago. Hindi ko man lang naramdaman ang pagpasok at presensiya nito hanggang sa magsalita siya.

"Through the door." Kaswal nitong sagot habang isa isang ininspeksyon ang mga karayom. He pick up one of the needles and remove the capped on it. How come I didn't even notice him?

"If I were you, I will put down that needle. One prick and you might end up dead or impotent." Pananakot ko rito.

Mula sa karayom ay umangat ang tingin nito sa akin. "A poisonous needle? Tell me Laviñia. Why are you keeping such dangerous stuffs in your luggage."

I step towards him and take the needle from his hand. "This needle is for self protection. I'm keeping it in case that someone tried to harm me again."

Pyro just sat on my bed while observing me. Ibinalik ko ang cap ng karayom at saka isinuksok sa lalagyanan nito. This needle is not a dangerous one. I use it to numb a certain area of the body. Very helpful for medical purposes.

"Did it even came to your mind that those needles is probably one of the reason why those men are after you?" Napatigil ako sa pagliligpit ng gamit at napatingin kay Pyro. Kumunot ang noo ko at pilit na inaalala kung posible nga ba ito. Makalipas ang ilang saglit ay umiling ako at saka ipinagpatuloy ang pagliligpit.

"Aside from being a chemist. I'm also studying botany. I don't think that could make someone all crazy and want me dead." I put all of the needles inside the bag and turn my attention back to the closet. Kinuha ko ang isang kumpol ng mga nakatuping damit upang ilagay sa bag.
