Camilla: How do y'all do homecoming?

Mattia: Well, on Wednesday, everyone goes to this big house and we have a tradition where we just hang out and party and stuff like that like the party before school, then on Thursday is the football game. Yea i know. It's stupid to have it on Thursday. Then Friday is the homecoming dance. And they will announce homecoming queen.
Camilla: I hope i'm homecoming queen!
Mattia: Me too. People have to vote for you but you have to be on homecoming court.
Camilla: I guess that's what imma be working on all week.
Mattia: I can't wait to see your dress for homecoming.
Camilla: Oh trust me. It's gonna look great.
Mattia: Anything looks good on you.
Camilla: Awww. Thanks babe. Now, are you staying over or are you going home?
Mattia: I gotta go home. See you later.
Camilla: Ok bye.
(Next day)
Mattia's POV
It was 5:00 in the morning and I wanted to surprise Camilla when she woke up because it was her birthday. She told me she didn't like her birthday and didn't like to celebrate because it was the day her mom died. I knocked on the door and surprisingly, her dad opened it.
Dad: Oh hey Mattia.
Mattia: Hey Mr. Lee. Is Camilla still sleep?
Dad: Yes but you can come in. I actually wanna talk to you.
He lets me inside and we sit on the couch.
Dad: I just wanted to tell you how much i appreciate you for being there for Cami. She's been through a lot. You helped her. Thank you.
Mattia: You're welcome. You have the best daughter in the world.
Dad: I have to tell you something. Yesterday, my boss told me that i got promoted again.
Mattia: Woah! That's great Mr. Lee!
Dad: Yea i know but the thing is, the job offer is in California.
Mattia: That's really far away.
Dad: Yea i know. We're leaving in two weeks.
Mattia: Wait what!?
Dad: Yea. I need you to do me a favour.
Mattia: Anything.
Dad: I want Camilla to live with you.
Mattia: Really? You trust me that much?
Dad: Yea and i didn't wanna split you two up. She really loves you.
Mattia: I'll ask my mom. Thanks for trusting me.
Dad: No problem.
Camilla's POV
I heard people talking downstairs so i went to see who it was.
Camilla: Mattia? What are you doing here?
Mattia: Happy 17th birthday Cami!
Camilla: Awh. Thanks Mattia!
Dad: We have to tell you something.
Camilla: What?
Dad: I got promoted!
Camilla: Yayyy! Omg. I'm so happy for you!
Dad: But the thing is, i got promoted to California.
My expression dropped.
Camilla: Wait what? We just moved!
Dad: That's where good news comes in.
Mattia: You get to live with me!
Camilla: Really!? Oh my god thank you Mattia! And Dad!
Mattia: Aww it's no big deal.
Camilla: What are you gonna do about Carlos?
Dad: He's gonna come with me.
Camilla: Oh.
I was gonna miss my brother. Really much.
Mattia: Cheer up. It's your birthday!
Camilla: Can't believe i'm older than you tho.
Mattia: By like 7 months. hey
I start to go upstairs.
Mattia: Where are you going?
Camilla: I'm about to go back to sleep until it's time for school.
He laughs.
(Time skip to school)
Me and Mattia walked into school earning a lot of stares. We get stared at all the time but this time it didn't feel normal.
Alejandro: Happy birthday!
Camilla: Thanks i guess.
Kairi: Awww! Mattia cheer your girlfriend up on her birthday!
Ashley: Happy birthday girlie!
Camilla: Thanks Ashley. Can you help me with something?
Ashley: Anything!
Camilla: I wanna run for homecoming queen.
Ashley: Really!? Omg sis you for sure would get picked. Anyway, all you have to do is go to the principals office and get a sheet of paper and people have to sign yours if they want you to be it.
Camilla: Ok. When do people start?
Ashley: Today! So, go get your sheet so you can get an early start!
I hurry and go into the principals office.
Camilla: Hi! Can i have a homecoming queen sheet?
Principal: Yea of course! Lucky for you, it's the last one!
Camilla: How many people are aloud to get in?
Principal: Only 8.
Camilla: Woah ok thanks!
Principal: Ok bye!
