~Hate You Too~ (Diego Brando)

     It was a snowy winter day in London. The Christmas lights hung all around the city with a huge decorated tree as a main course in the shopping district near you and Diego. And lucky for you, Christmas had always been one of your favorite holidays. And that made you ecstatic to spend your first Christmas with Diego.

      At the sound of the alarm, your eyelashes started to flutter open. The mornings were never fun, except for today. You flipped over to the figure next to and started to lightly move it.
"Diego." You nudged him a bit harder. "Diego, wake up! It's Christmas morning!" You then heard a grunt from the resting form and small movements.

      "I'm up, I'm up." He spoke in a groggy voice. You leaned over and hugged him, as your (h/c) locks fell from behind your ear. You gave him a quick peck to the cheek.
"Well you're not ready, so get up!" After a bit more of pushing and shoving, Diego had finally gotten up. He dressed in his usual blue and yellow sweater with his riding pants. But because if the chilly weather, he wore a black jacket on top and left it unzipped. You wore a simple outfit made up of a black long sleeve shirt, a red sweater, and leggings that were a bit thicker than most with a fuzzy interior.

      You both walked to the shopping district, your hand in his. You were basically skipping with a bright smile on your face, while Diego was just walking normally wearing a smirk at your unusual behavior.
"Diego! Aren't you excited too?" You looked up at him, your eyes twinkling with excitement.
"Well I've never celebrated Christmas being quite frank," Your face got kinda sad as you held his hand tighter to let him know that you were there. Diego took note of how this made you sad. "But there's always a first for everything." That was unusual for Diego to say something of that nature but he understood how excited you were and he was enjoying your out of character personality.

      Your face lit up again at the sound of this. Now you were back in the cheery mood, especially because you two just arrived at the shopping district. He looked down at your small, skipping figure and tilted his head. Giving you a signal to pick the first store to go to.
"Well actually, I was getting kind of hungry so we should go to Café Zeppeli!"
"I guess I did let you pick first."
"Yes, you did. So let's go!"

      You and Diego walked to the café as you were dreaming of all the pastries you could get. You pushed open the door, hearing the little 'ding' sound. Diego's hand let go of yours as he scanned the room full of Christmas decorations.
"I'm gonna go pick a table so you go order."
"Alright. But first! What do you want?"
"One medium coffee."
"Roger that!" You gave him a little salute and made your way to the register. You told the cashier your order and left a bigger tip than usual. I mean, you were feeling pretty generous.

     "A chocolate chip muffin?" Diego questioned as you sat down with the order.
"Yeah."
"But (y/n), you always get that."
"I know, but the ones they make here are the best! Here, try." You held up the muffin to Diego's mouth and he took a bite.
"Personally, it's not my thing." Diego then proceeded to take a sip of his coffee. "Anyways (y/n), notice anything?"
"I mean, they put Christmas decorations up. If that's what you mean." He let out a sigh and rolled his eyes. His hand that was rested on the table shot up to above the table.
"The mistletoe. Sometimes you really are clueless." Your face flushed pink as you realized what he had just said. You two were under the mistletoe. You had no problem kissing Diego, but in public, that was kinda embarrassing.
"Well I mean, not in public..."
"Oh, come on (y/n)! It's my first Christmas."
"Fine. But just this once!" Diego put on a smirk as he leaned forward and met his lips with yours. Your face got red from embarrassment, but you could tell he was enjoying it by the smile tugging on his lips. Your lips parted but you broke eye contact.
"Merry Christmas, dear."
"I hate you." Diego put on his snarky smile at the sound of this. He gave you a wink because he knew that you didn't hate him.
"Hate you too."
