~You Forgot That~ (Okuyasu Nijimura)

Josuke Higashikata. That name belonged to your long time best friend. All the way to toddlers into teens. The two of you had remained the same amount of closeness all throughout the years. And you never really had any one join your duo. Well, until one quite bizarre week.

On you and Josuke's first day of high school, Josuke had shown up late with a boy much smaller than himself. His name was Hirose Koichi. You two weren't entirely close but from the time you had spent with him, he seemed pretty nice. In that same week, Josuke had turned up with someone new.

He was about the same height as Josuke and a year old. He also wore a pompadour that was way less prominent than Josuke's. His name was Okuyasu Nijimura. Josuke and him had seemed pretty close, but according to Josuke, after a little spit Okuyasu had just showed up at his door and started hanging around.

But unlike Koichi, you and him had started to develop a strong friendship. Josuke, him, and you would always go around Morioh just doing what dumb kids do. It was always so much fun being around your two closest friends. But it would be better if it was just you and Okuyasu. More than just two friends hanging out. And Okuyasu felt the same. Only you didn't know.

You wanted to rant your feelings out to someone. And there was only one person for the job. Josuke. With that thought, you rung his home phone and prayed he wouldn't be busy. After a few rings, you heard his voice on the other end.

"Hello?"
"Josuke!"
"Oh, (Y/N). What's up?"
"I know this might sound stupid but my mind has been racing lately."
"About what?"
"Promise not to laugh?"
"Of course I won't laugh."
"Alrighty then. I really like Okuyasu. Like a lot. I just want to be around him and he makes my face go red and my heart beat rapidly and-" You stopped when you could hear Josuke's chuckles on the line. "Josuke! You said you wouldn't laugh... I know it's stupid but-"
"(Y/N), I'm not laughing at you! It's just, this situation is funny."
"Huh? What's so funny about it?"
"Just get ready to answer your door."
"My door? What why? Josuke, what are you up to?"
"Me? Nothing. Just don't worry about it OkayGotToGoByeHaveFun!" He rushed through the last part and hung up before you could respond.

Get ready to answer my door, huh? What on Earth is happening? Nearly seconds after, there was a knock at the door. You walked over to it to see Okuyasu. But he wasn't in his regular attire. He was dressed in a black suit with a cute little bow tie. On top of that, he carried a bouquet of dandelions, not knowing they were weeds.

"Okuyasu?"
"Ah! (Y/N)! So uhhh... How's the weather?" He have you a cheeky smile while putting his hand on the back of his neck.
"Oku, what's going on?"
"Well umm, (Y/N), I really like you and well... Want to go out on a date?" Your cheeks grew a pink tint as a stupid grin grew on your face.
"Of course, dummy!" You sprung towards him and wrapped your arms around his neck.
"Awesome! Finally got a girl! Take that Koichi! Anyways, take this. He handed you a the bouquet of weeds whilst blushing. "So, does tomorrow work?"
"Of course!" He turned around to leave but you grabbed his wrist before he could. "Oku, wait!"
"Yeah, (Y/N)?" You leaned forward and gave him a quick peck on the cheek.
"You forgot that."
