"Diiiieeeeeeggggooooo," came the sing song voice from down the hall and a felt a smile creep onto my face as Diego groaned. Klaus emerged seemingly out of nowhere and drifted toward us, "Diego! It's been too long! I haven't seen you since you bailed me out of jail last year. That was so sweet of you by the way."
He reached up to stroke Diego's face but his hand was swatted away quickly. "No."
Unfazed by his brother's response, he turned to me. "That was the day I ran through a Walmart completely naked with nothing but a painting of a lawn mower on my chest! I wonder what ever happened to Rob," Klaus rambled as I giggled at his story. He smiled warmly at me and slid next to me, wrapping his arm around my shoulders. "You've always been sooOOoo good to me Tori. Better than this old grump!"
He pointed his thumb to Diego who was trying very hard to look annoyed, but I saw the amusement in his eyes. No matter how much he tried to hide it, Diego missed Klaus.
"I've decided that you're going to be my date to the family meeting!" Klaus shouted in my ear. "Oh that reminds me," he said, turning to Diego, "There's a family meeting!"
...
Diego had insisted I attend the family meeting. Well, technically Klaus did but he was currently making himself a drink as the rest of the Hargreeves sat in silence.
I was sitting on the floor, trying my best to act as if I wasn't there when I felt a spike of anger. I turned to look at Diego who was sitting in the chair I was leaning against. He was glaring at all of his siblings who were all staring at me.
"If you have something to say, say it now or shut up and deal with her being here," Diego growled, breaking the silence.
"This is a family meeting," Allison stated.
"Which means no outsiders allowed," Luther finished and I couldn't help but snort. "Is there something funny about this to you?"
Rolling my eyes, I stood up and met his glare. "Yeah. It's just that to me, you sounded like a twelve year old who made up his own little 'secret club' that nobody wants to join and so you justify the fact that you don't have anybody who wants to be apart of your club by saying that no outsiders are allowed," I shrugged. I felt Diego smirk next to me as his siblings stared at me. "Listen, I don't want trouble. I'm here because Diego wanted me here and—"
"I don't care," Luther interrupted, "Get out."
"Either you get both of us or none of us," Diego replied nonchalantly, causing Number 1 to finally shut up. Rolling my eyes, I sat back down on the floor. There was a long pause with the sounds of Klaus behind the bar filling the air.
"What's your name?" Allison finally chimed in and I let out a small sigh of relief at the question.
"Victoria. And I know this is weird circumstances and tensions are high, but is nice to meet you. All of you." I couldn't help but stare at Vanya as I said the last sentence and I felt a spike of anger come from Diego. I was certainly gonna hear about that later.
