After the the little get together Bowser had at peach's castle he headed home to play a couple video games with his son to apologize for the way he acted and after that he went straight to bed but for some reason he couldn't sleep.

Bowser: (groans) why can't I sleep

So Bowser got out of bed and wrapped himself in a bath robe and walked out on his balcony

Bowser: (sigh) why do I have to be born a monster there's no one that could love me without being afraid of me.....but I shouldn't worry about that... I actually had fun today and smiled even if I don't have to kidnap the princess they excepted me even because of my looks......even Mario looked passed all of our fights and had fun talking with me.... Maybe I can show everyone I'm not a monster. I wonder if Mario would be fine with that (blush)why do I care what he would think he's not that special......but he did come all this way to help me

Bowser shakes his head to clear his thoughts and get rid of the blush on his face and walked back inside and went to bed

Mario was standing on the roof of his house and stared out at Bowser's castle

Mario: I wonder if Bowser is asleep

Luigi: Mario are coming to bed

Mario: yea just a second bro

Mario had trouble sleeping so he stood outside to think about things that happened today never in his dreams would he think that Bowser would rescue him and carry him while he slept

Mario: the way he held me was so soothing and protective.....why did I like it so much... Oh well I'll think more about this when I get some sleep

So Mario jumped down from his roof and enter to his bedroom to get some sleep

Bowser awoke with a stretch and a yawn it was the best sleep he had in the past 2 months and he planned on making a change of how people see him

Bowser: (yawn)ok it's time to make people see me differently and not just as a monster

Then Bowser's stomach growled

Bowser: maybe after breakfast first

So Bowser went down into the kitchen and saw his son sitting down eating his cereal and playing on his phone

Bowser: morning son

Jr: morning papa

Hammer bro: what shall I get started for you my king

Bowser: hmmm a stack of waffles Sunnyside up eggs and bacon

Hammer bro: coming right up your majesty

Bowser:(thoughts)I wonder what Mario likes to eat for breakfast

Mario awoke to a beam of light in his face and the smell of breakfast down stairs so he went down still rubbing his eyes and yawning

Luigi: morning bro

Mario:(yawns)morning bro

Luigi : do you want your usual

Mario: yea waffles scrambled eggs and sausage

Luigi: coming right up

Mario: (thoughts)I wonder what Bowser likes to eat for breakfast

Luigi: bro

Mario: huh

Luigi: you ok over there
