the fuel you add to my fire
doesn't burn me but ignite me.
i may look at you and glower,
make sure you incinerate in my icy fury.
but at least i have a heart to feel with
unlike you pathetic bore;
just lingering around everywhere,
lusting after blood and gore.
with no life as such but
an oh-so funny joke,
crippling in rage,
oh how i gloat when you're provoked.
i simply love the way you look at me;
like i am truly your only nightmare.
if you really wanna play then,
hey, let's all play fair!
can't wait until i beat you
by an unattainable mile,
and then eagerly bury you
with an equating smile.
am i undermining your self-esteem?
well good, congrats to me.
not so mighty are you now,
no more importunities?
okay, maybe i'll show some sympathy
and stroll by your grave.
you've been the one and only
of my adversaries and, personally, my fave.
oh come on now,
don't be so mum,
for the ultimate game of life
has hardly yet begun.
