I'm still staring at the Dean ever so slowly examining the room's Window the intruder that stabbed Klaus ran off from.

She rolls her eyes, sniffs, and rolls her eyes again.

She does know I'm a tracker right?

"And you didn't get a look at what attacked Mr Morgan?" her cold tiny voice made me give her a look.

We've been over this "No"

"Strange"

"What is?"

"Doesn't smell like vampire or werewolf" She muttered to herself and I was astonished an old vampire such as her didn't have the nose for this already cold scent.

"Want me to track it?" I asked because I'm positive that is her intention as she keeps drawing out her sentences and making small side remarks about it.

"Since you volunteered.." I roll my eyes "...perhaps you can give it a shot you are the one who came closest to them after all.

"More like I got stabbed" I scoffed lightly.

"Indeed you did" She gave my torn shirt a pitiable stare before heading towards the door "I will arrange for private quarters downstairs for you"

"That won't be necessary Dean, they were after Klaus not me who for some reason is still being hospitalized shouldn't he have healed by now?"

The Dean doesn't say anything but she doesn't move either "The stake was unfortunately poisoned with vervain" She added "I hope that helps with your tracking" She leaves wordlessly.

Liar.

First of all the stake was just wood broken from the leg of a chair, I thought as I carried the chair and sniffed it. There was no single scent of vervain anywhere and he passed out from a shoulder stab.

Ezra didn't even let me touch him the second he saw him.

They're hiding something.

A quick knock and Dana barged into the room, I had a feeling she'd show up soon enough as she was Klaus's girlfriend after all.

"Where's Klaus?!"She asked me with the same look of urgency she gave me last year.
I try not to think about Last year as much as possible,

"How would I know? aren't you his girlfriend?"

"I'm serious Zagan" She tried not to bark at me, it was funny how little she changed this year compared to last.

"Have you ever known me to make jokes" I stared straight at her with a brow up.

"I heard he got attacked and I'm very worried about him we-"

"Yeah yeah, the dean has him, I don't care, get your information straight I also got attacked," I said taking off my ruined shirt.

"Well you look fine to me" She scoffed "Don't flirt with me whilst your boyfriend is getting medical attention"

She looked shocked at me trying her best not to stare at my bare chest. "That's not what I meant"

"Yeah?"I walked towards her as she backed up, her heels making a constant and inconsistent click-clack sound.

"Yes," She forced out. I can't believe I still had that effect on her, shame we broke up.

I smirked and opened the door behind her after I had cornered her towards it, she nearly fell.

"Good to know, bye!"I said and slammed the door in her face.

******

I felt squirmish so I went out to have a drink when I swear the same scent I had gotten from my brief and not-very-worth-it fight with the strange fellow who broke in and stabbed my roommate hit me.
