Lights Out

That Day Off

We all got to Nash, Cam, and Carter's place. Because they said we should all hang out together. So we all didn't care, because we had a week off, and we'd be going home tomorrow. I was going back to Minnesota to see my family, Shawn was going back to Canada, my best friend was going back to West Virginia, and everyone was going back to their families.

I grabbed my sleeping bag and pillow and laid them down in the corner of the room, and Matt being Matt, came over and jumped right onto my sleeping bag. "Matt seriously?!" I yelled in annoyance. "Of course, I love bothering you." Matt laughed. I pushed him off my sleeping bag and he just laughed.

Pretty soon, we all ordered pizzas and other stuff from Dominos. And we all attacked the foods. I attacked the stuff cheesy bread because it's my favorite. I laughed as ,I watched Nash and Cam fighting over 1 piece of pizza, when there were 7 other pieces in the box.

Shawn hugged me from behind once all the food was gone. We all stood there just having our separate random conversations. It was about 3 pm. And it started to rain. We all went around, closing all the windows.

We laughed so loud I guess we never realized how dark it was getting. We all didn't stop talking until our phones made a huge screeching noise, and considering we all have a phone and there's 15+ of us. And they all went off at the same time, it hurt our ears.

Right when the sound went off, Shawn pushed me to the ground, laying on top of me. Like someone would do if there was an explosion. Everyone laughed at him. I thought it was sweet because he wants to protect me. And if that's his first response to a noise, I feel like I'll be safe with him. We all checked our phones, they were flash flood warnings saying there could be a huge flood, but it was fine, they lived on the second floor. So Nash, Cam, Carter and a few other people went in to their separate bedrooms, and the rest of us stayed in the living room, we were all watching the news.

I crawled into Shawn's lap and he wrapped his arms around me. Storms didn't scare me, but I just love being close to Shawn.

We all watched the in amazement of how big this storm was going to be. This storm was meant to do some damage, so we might not be going home for a few days...
