Chapter 9

The next morning at the dining table, the princesses were having breakfast that Shai prepared
"Thanks Shai" Yuzu said as she smiled
"Y-you're welcome, Yuzu" Shai said nervously as she trembled a bit
"Hehe Yuzu's food tastes better but this is very delicious" Matsuri said and smiled. Shai wagged her tail rapidly and smiled softly
"Th-thank you" Shai said
"What will we be doing today?" Matsuri asked
"Probably the dresses and shit like that since tomorrow will be an extremely busy day" Yuzu said as she groaned
"Tomorrow will be the big day!" Nitski said as she stepped in and giggled
"Shut up" Matsuri said
"Aren't you happy? I mean the two great enemies will finally become a great family" Nitski said
"Are you here to ruin my day?" Yuzu asked as she glared at her
"Hehe maybe" Nitski said
"Sorry about that Yuzu. It's just this bitch enjoys to fuck around" Juhin said
"Literally..." Matsuri said
"Ah by the way your father wants you to hurry so you can all try out the suits that you might like" Juhin said
"Eh!? Wait...suits? I don't have to wear a stupid dress?" Matsuri asked slightly surprised
"Yes and your parents are asking who will you fucking marry? So have you decided?" Nitski asked
"Fine. I'll marry the bunny" Matsuri said as she shrugged
"M-me?" Harumin asked as she pointed at herself
Wh-what the hell? She wants to m-marry me?
"Yeah you" Matsuri said and bit down on her food
"Ha! I knew you had a fetish for bunnies" Nitski said as she laughed
"Shut up and let me eat in peace!" Matsuri growled at her
"Get the fuck out before you piss me the fuck off. I just want to have a relaxing breakfast" Yuzu growled
"Awwww so scary. Hehe anyways we'll leave" Nitski said and grabbed Juhin taking him away
"Y-you okay?" Shai asked as she trembled
"Yes. I'm fine. Whatever..." Yuzu said as she looked away. She felt something tickle her leg and looked down
"Matsuri..." Yuzu said as she looked over at her
"Relax. I told you that they were trained" Matsuri said
"I'm worried that these bunnies will make more bunnies..." Yuzu said
"Uh...talking about more bunnies...uhm...so something happened" Matsuri said slightly nervous while looked away
"Please don't tell me there is a new batch?" Yuzu asked
"I already have a new batch of baby bunnies" Matsuri said as she giggled
"Why not just send them out in the wild?" Shai asked
"I will soon but I can't let them go just like that" Matsuri said
"Why do you take care of them?" Mitsuko asked
"Hm? The bunnies?" Matsuri asked as her ears perked up
"Yes. Don't you...well...you know" Mitsuko said
"Eat them? Hehehe...silly. I was born different. I don't eat bunnies...but I still eat meat" Matsuri said as she smiled
"Then what do you eat?" Harumin asked
"My own kind" Matsuri said as she kept smiling innocently
"Eh?! Your own kind?!" Himeko exclaimed
"What do you mean by your own kind?" Harumin asked
"Are you stupid? I eat foxes" Matsuri said and giggled
"Were you born like that?" Harumin asked
"Yep. Kinda amazing too since my family is scared of me" Matsuri said
"Have you killed anyone in your family?" Harumin asked
"Curious huh? Well not really..." Matsuri said and played with her food. She put her fork down and smiled
"Since we're all talking about ourselves. Why not talk about yourselves and family? I'm really curious especially this whole predator and prey relationship. Isn't your family the first to ever have a predator and prey relationship?" Matsuri asked
"Yes" Mitsuko said
"Isn't your mother afraid he will go...hmmm? I don't know...savage?" Matsuri asked
"Not really. She's really brave and strong because of her power" Mitsuko said
"Impressive that a bunny is with a predator. She must be amazing..." Matsuri said
"Of course she is. She's fought off predators as well..." Harumin said
"Hehe that's great" Matsuri said and giggled softly
Because you'll be needing it...
"What about you?" Himeko asked as she looked up at Shai. Shai's eyes widen and jumped a bit
"Wh-what about me?" Shai asked as her body trembled
Wh-why is she looking at me for? Did I do something wrong? Oh no! Was it the kiss!? Is it because of that!?
"I-Is this about the k-kiss?" Shai asked
"Wh-what? I-I just want to know why you're always shaking. Or why you're always so damn nervous?" Himeko asked
"O-oh that? Hehe I-I'm just like that. Th-that's all" Shai said slightly nervous
"She is always timid and shy okay? So shut the hell up and let her be herself" Yuzu said as she glared at her
"What about you, Eyebrows?" Matsuri asked as she smirked
"E-eyebrows!? You stupid-"
"Himeko! That's enough..." Mei said
"Fine..." Himeko said as she crossed her arms and looked away
"Awww little chihuahua mad?" Matsuri asked
"Stop bothering her, Matsuri" Yuzu said
"Okay fine" Matsuri said as she smiled
"S-so...mind telling us a-about you?" Shai asked
"Me? Hmm...my family have been underestimated all the time since you only see us as little chihuahuas but we're great warriors. We've been defending our kingdom for years. We're usually the defense in a battle which may seem useless at first but we've managed to save many lives" Himeko said
"Defense huh? The Mizusawas are usually our defense during battle but sometimes the Higashis could take their place" Yuzu said
"You have flames...right?" Mei asked
"Yes. I do. It runs in the Okogi family. The worthy ones are born with it...but our cousin Ortho...wasn't born with them. He was born weak and unable to fight. My grandfather blames my uncle for it. I don't know the whole story about them. All I know is that they are the disappointment in our family" Yuzu said
"I see..." Mei said
So...there has been some conflict with their family?
"And what about you, Aihara? I've heard from my grandfather that your pathetic father left" Yuzu said as she let out a giggle. Mei gritted her teeth and pinned her ears back
This bitch...
"So...care to explain what happened?" Yuzu asked
"That's none of your business. It's very personal. There is no reason for you to know..." Mei said
"Why not? I'm your bride after all. There is no need to keep secrets between us" Yuzu said
"I said no. I don't want to talk about him or my family. All you have to know is that our kingdoms is falling apart but with your help they can be saved" Mei said
"Hehe...and I guess since your father wasn't born with the power then that means you don't ha-" Yuzu said and smiled
"Shut up!" Mei said as she stood up from her seat
"Don't talk to me like that" Yuzu said sternly. Mei only pinned her ears back and left the dining table. Yuzu smirked and laughed a little
She is so adorable when she's mad

Mei walked away and went to the room. She growled and closed the door. Mei sighed deeply as she fell to the floor and leaned against the door. She trembled and grabbed her head
Damnit...why? Just why?
Flashback
"Are you sure that she'll be a great leader? She doesn't look like one though" The man said
"My granddaughter is a strong warrior. She'll be a great queen one day" The old man said
"She doesn't have her werecat soul...like her father" The man said
"Nonsense. She still needs to grow up" The old man said
"I hope so...because the entire kingdom will go down if she doesn't have that power. Just like her father..." The man said
"Trust me. She does have that power. Her mother has the blood of a pure werecat. At least some of her power must've gotten into her. She's just not developed them yet because of her father's DNA" The old man said
"Very well...but if that girl doesn't develop her powers then we'll attack. Since I'm feeling a little generous then I'll give you ten years. Your granddaughter better develop her powers so that the Nishiharas can grow stronger and be as good as those Okogis. Those mutts have been taking our precious treasures and land. We'll get them back soon" The man said
"I understand how you feel. Those Okogis have taken and destroyed our kingdom. I really hope my granddaughter develops her powers soon. I don't want her to end up like her pathetic father. I don't know what went wrong with him. I'm still confused on why he didn't come out as a werecat" The old man said
"Well whatever that is. It must've came from your side of the family" The man said
"Probably but this is the first time something like this has happened" The old man said
"Let's just hope your granddaughter didn't turn out weak like him" The man said
"I hope so..." The old man said. Meanwhile the young kitty only listened to their conversation and sat down on the floor trembling a bit

Knock knock
"Go away..." Mei said
"Mei? Is everything okay?" Vix asked making Mei's ears perk up. She stood up and opened the door seeing Vix
"Did something happen?" Vix asked
"No. I'm fine" Mei said as she looked down
"You can tell me" Vix said as he cupped her cheek. Mei felt his soft touch against her cheek and sighed
"It's nothing alright? Now stop it with this touching shit" Mei said as she slapped his hand away
"I-I'm just worried for you..." Vix said. Mei sighed softly and looked away
"I know you're worried but...there is no need for you to touch me. I thought I told you yesterday that it was the last time" Mei said
"Y-yes. I'm sorry" Vix said and bowed down
"Don't do it again. You know what'll happen if you get caught and I...don't want you to suffer. So please...control yourself" Mei said
"Mei...you know I can't. Especially...if that stupid werewolf keeps bothering you like that" Vix said
"I know but I can handle her myself. So please stop worrying...I'm not weak" Mei said as she glared at him
"O-of course" Vix said slightly nervous
Shit...she's so scary
All the sudden there was a howl and the village started to run
"Wh-what the hell was that?" Vix asked. Mei ran to the window and looked outside seeing werecats
Wh-what!? They're attacking?! But why!? I thought we had an alliance with them!
Mei ran out the room and saw her friends
"M-meimei!" Himeko said
"The Nishiharas are attacking" Mitsuko said as she looked out the window
"Why though?" Harumin asked
"Hey! Is everyone okay?" Sen asked as he came in with Kori and Arch
"Yes. We're safe" Harumin said. Yuzu growled as her eyes glowed
"Arch! Get everyone to safety and leave this to us! Now!" Yuzu ordered
"Yes ma'am!" Arch said as he left running out the castle
"Yes! We're going to kill these fuckers!" Matsuri giggled
"You three prince charmings can just stay back and protect the princesses" Yuzu said and walked to the entrance of the castle and smirked
"W-we can fight you know" Vix said
"Yeah! We can help!" Sen said
"We don't need your fucking help. We can do this alone. Why do you think we were choosen?" Matsuri asked as she giggled
"Shai...why don't you start us off? Especially since a couple of people believe you're useless and pathetic..." Yuzu said as she looked over at the Momokino
"I-I didn't say that!" Himeko said. Shai walked up to Yuzu as she covered her eyes
"And don't hold back...we don't need them alive" Yuzu whispered while Shai paused by her. Shai nodded and created an ice mask for her eyes. Her werewolf stood behind her as it growled. Shai smiled as her eyes glowed
"Hehe...this is going to be fun. Now...let the fun begin" Shai giggled
