"Go faster!!"

"I'm trying! Its hard hard having to carry you around!"

"Are you saying I'm heavy??" America scoffed and narrowed his eyes at the red country.

The taller groaned and shook his head, "You know that's not what I meant."

"Then what did you mean?? Maybe you won't be getting any after all!"

"What do you mean?!!? I'm doing all the work! You're just yelling at me!"

"Yes he is, and it is extremely annoying. People are trying to sleep!"

The two countries swung around to see Britain standing in the doorway rubbing his temples, unaware of what was happening.

"Oh! Heeeeeeeeeeey daaaaaaaaaad," America chuckled uncomfortably. "How'd you sleep?"

"Not very well since you two idiots woke me up at such an ungodly time!" Britain grumbled.

"Ok first of all--"

"America stop digging a deeper hole for us--"

"--it's only 5am," America continued as though he had never been interrupted. "And I thought you would be happy that I haven't slept in 'til twelve!"

"I would be, were you not being very loud and pouting like a child in your younger brother's arms."

"Yea, speaking of which, can I put you down now?" Canada whined, leaning against the bench and looking down at his older brother being held by him bridal style.

"You gonna tell 'em or should I?" Morning dralled as she made herself a cup of imaginary chamomile tea on the ceiling. How the physics of that worked was beyond America, even as a physics and engineering major.

America looked down and his face heated up as he muttered, "I...I can't really walk..."

Britain and Canada shared a worried look as America continued to stare at the ground, wincing at the soreness of his throat whenever he tried to speak.

"Did you...?" Canada asked, trailing off.

America nodded slowly, guilt written all over his face.

Britain growled under his breath, pacing back and forth in the kitchen as America continued to refuse looking his family members in the eyes.

"Oh you're fucked now, Meri."

Shut up! And don't call me Meri.

Morning raised an eyebrow, smiling smugly, "Russia calls you Meri."

My point exactly.

"Why? Why would you do this?" Britain questioned exasperatedly, trying not to lose his temper.

Canada's lip trembled, "Ame...you promised..."

"Yea, well it's been happening for weeks! Happy?!" America snapped, struggling out of Canada's grasp before he was put down.

"No, America! We're not happy! Far from it!" Britain whisper-yelled, trying to remain quiet for the other people in the house. "What will your mother think?!"

America's face fell immediately, moving over to his father in a heartbeat and holding him by the shoulders. He also had to bend down slightly to get on his fathers level.

"Please, I'm begging you don't--" America stopped mid-sentence, a wave of vertigo washing over him and causing him to stumble back, his legs shaking and struggling to support his weight.
