Chapter 46-1. C'mon & Get Me!

I sat beside Meg, Jill and Ken on the bleachers at sa baba namin sila Japo, Borge & of course, Ellie. I have no idea what made me go watch the game, despite the fact that Max decided not to come. Everyone around me was screaming and cheering their lungs out. Yeah, everyone – except me that is.

Okay. I know I’m a spoiled brat. I don’t mean to exaggerate but my name alone can move a mountain if I wanted to. Meaning? I always get what I want. Always.

But this… with Max? This is killing me!! It’s like that annoying feeling na parang nagsho-shopping ako and saw the bag na sobrang tagal ko ng gustong bilin only to find out that my credit card already reached its limit and I don’t have any cash with me kaya hindi tuloy mapasakin!!

I wasn’t paying attention to the basketball game. I don’t care much about winning, or whether Nico made a three point shot or whatever. All I could see was Ellie, who was standing up on her seat and started screaming like a crazy fan girl. Nakapag-improvise na din agad siya ng sarili niyang drums. She got herself two empty bottles of water and she’d hit it together, making a vivid noise.

“GO NICO!! GO MUP!!” She cheered, grinning excitedly like a little girl. I wonder where she could get such energy. She’s always hyped up and full of vigour. Partida pa daw, masakit ulo niya’t may hang-over.

I looked around, wala bang naiinis sa kanya? She’s blocking the view ng lahat ng nanunuod sa likod niya. Shouldn’t anyone scream at her and tell her to shut up? But to my surprise, yung ibang tao sa likod, gumaya na din kay Ellie, bawat isa may hawak-hawak ng sarili nilang bote ng tubig.

And, that’s Ellie… the girl who always does what she wants.Pano kaya niya nagagawa yun? She’s just always being herself.

Argh, this is pathetic!! What am I even thinking? I suddenly felt sick.

Sara… will you snap out of it!! You’re talking about Ellie here!! Si Ellie yan!! Si Ellie and not just some random girl. Si Ellie na hindi ka iniwan nung times na may problema ka! Si Ellie na handang makipag-away sa kahit kanino just to protect her friends. I know, hindi mahirap pakisamahan yang si Ellie. She’s unique and special and all. And maybe, I couldn’t blame Max if he has feelings for her. But then… sheesh, this is just plain dumb Sara. How can you possibly be comparing yourself with your friend?

I looked away from Ellie. I must be going crazy!! Ito siguro epekto when Max is being a jerk!! Besides, I I know I shouldn’t  just jump to any stupid conclusion!! Pinangungunahan ko masyado si Max.

Right. Hindi pa huli ang lahat. Tulad nga ng laging sinasabi ni Ellie, If there’s a will, there’s always a way!!

“Mas lalo lang sasakit yang ulo mo kapag hindi ka sasama!!” Yan ang sinabi sakin ni Borge to convince me to go with them. Kita niyo naman kahit sa pag-upo hindi nila kong dalawa tinantanan ni Japo. Pinagitnaan pa talaga nila ko dito sa bleachers ng gymnasium ng NEW University, baka daw kasi tumakas ako. Sa mismong school nila AJ ginanap itong game ee.

“GO NICO!!! GO MUP!!” I screamed na kala mo wala ng bukas. Totoo nga sinabi ni Borge, nakalimutan ko yung sakit ng ulo ko the moment na nag-simula yung game. Di naman masyadong halatang adik ako sa basketball diba? Dinaig ko pa ang buong cheering squad ng kabilang team!! Sa mga ganitong pagkakataon, dapat hindi tayo nagpapatalo – kahit sa pag-tili dapat winner!! Wag nilang iniinis ang babaing may Hang-Over!! HAHAHA. Kinuha ko yung dalawang bote ng mineral water na ininuman namin ni Borge at ginamit na pompom. Yun nga lang pompom na may tunog!! HAHAHA.
