"WHERE ARE YOU?" Beck muttered as she paced the master bedroom in her PJs. Derek's been gone for a long time, too long for Beck's liking.
She had no idea where he was. He said he was visiting Uncle Peter and picking up Scott for his training, but that wouldn't have taken this long. Beck began to bite the side of her thumb when the sounds of sirens startled her out of her pacing.
Beck visibly paled at the sound of them. Police sirens.
Rushing out of the room, Beck ran down the hall just as Sheriff Stilinski and his deputies broke down the front door. Pointing their guns around, they began to search the house.
"What are you doing?" Beck shouted, making the deputies train their guns on her.
"Hold," Sheriff Stilinski ordered with a raise of his hand. He gestured for his men to continue searching as he walked up the stairs to a startled Beck. "Rebecca, do you know where your brother is?"
"No, why?" She gasped as deputies rushed past.
"Because he's wanted for four counts of murder," he glanced around as Beck began to shake her head. Looking down at her, he noticed how upset she was. Resting a calm hand on her arm, he looked at her sympathetically. "C'mon, let's go to the sheriff's station where it's safe."
Beck shook his hand off her shoulder. "I told you before, he didn't do anything."
"Well, now there's a witness that says differently."
Beck continued to shake her head as Sheriff Stilinski grabbed her arm, leading her down the stairs. "He didn't do anything," she hiccupped softly.
SHERIFF STILINSKI GLANCED through the window to his office, spying the top of Beck's blonde head. She laid curled up on the sofa in his office, sleeping.
"He hasn't been seen anywhere, sir," a deputy explained, making Sheriff Stilinski refocus his attention. "But we have an APB out for him. And all patrol cars are out searching."
Sheriff Stilinski nodded his head before turning back to his office. "What about his sister? Have social services been notified?" He hated the thought of turning that sweet girl over to the system, but he couldn't think of anywhere else for her to go.
She had no known relatives still alive.
"They're not gonna send anyone till the morning."
"Okay," Sheriff Stilinski nodded, before patting his deputy on the back. "Keep looking for Derek." Making his way to his office, Sheriff Stilinski looked back at his deputies. They were all abuzz, desperately searching for Derek. He entered his office, making Beck jump slightly. Sheriff Stilinski gave her a sad smile. "I thought you would be asleep."
"Have you found my brother?" Beck whispered tiredly.
Sheriff Stilinski shook his head as he dragged a chair to face Beck, taking a seat. The small blonde released a soft whimper, making Sheriff Stilinski's heartbreak slightly. "Rebecca, do you know where Derek could have gone?" Beck shook her head. Derek barely ever told her where he was going. "What if you two were separated, is there somewhere you would've met up?" Another shake of her head. Why would they need to meet up somewhere when Derek was able to find her through scent. "Is there anything you could tell me that could help find him?"
