BECK RELEASED A groan as she rolled onto her side. But she couldn't get comfortable.

Why was her bed so hard?

Prying her eyes open, Beck glared down at her mattress before gasping. She wasn't in her bed, she was on the ground. More specifically the ground in the woods.

Sitting up, Beck looked around at her surroundings. She was in the middle of the preserve. But why? How did she get there?

"Good, she's awake."

Beck froze. That voice. Beck recognized that voice. Turning, Beck's eyes landed on three figures standing behind her.

The same three figures from the roof almost a week ago. The three witches that were making Beck jump. A raven-haired woman, a redhead, and a blonde.

"I still say we kill her," the blonde hissed, turning to the raven-haired woman standing next to her.

"Hush Crystal," the raven-haired woman standing in the center hissed. Her cold blue eyes narrowed as she studied Beck.

"I don't care if Cabe says she's powerful, I'm prettier," the redhead mumbled, flipping her long red hair off her shoulder.

"Of course you are Amethyst," the raven-haired reassured as she stepped closer to Beck.

Jumping to her feet, Beck backed away till she ran into a tree. "What do you want?" Beck cried, eyes never leaving the three women in front of her. "And you should know, if you come anywhere near me, I'll scream. And when I scream-"

"We know all about your relationship with dogs, you little rat," the blonde, Crystal, snapped, clenching her fists at her side. "And how dare you threaten us. If I had my way, you-"

"Now Crystal," the raven-haired woman interrupted, turning her head slightly to Crystal. "Can't you see she doesn't know any better? It wasn't her fault she was raised in such an unorthodox manner. Her upbringing was completely out of her control."

Crystal released a huff, crossing her arms over her chest as she glared away.

Turning back to Beck, the raven-haired woman gave Beck a cold smile that never reached her cold eyes. "Forgive my sister. She can be very, how would you say, 'old school' when it comes to our ways."

"Our ways?" Beck asked.

"Yes," the raven-haired woman giggled as she began to walk closer to Beck. "Our ways. The ways of our ancestors. The ways of our brothers and sisters before us." When Beck only shook her head, the raven-haired woman gave her a puzzled look. "Witches, Rebecca, the ways of witches."

"She really knows nothing," Amethyst gasped as she began to round towards Beck from the side, her head tilted as she studied Beck. The closer she got, the more Beck realized that the redhead was younger than the other two. She's around the same age as Scott and Stiles.

"Which is all the more reason to kill her," Crystal hissed, approaching from the other side.

"Enough, both of you," the raven-haired woman snapped. "Now, where are my manners? We know your name, but you don't know ours. I am Lucinda." Waving a well-manicured hand towards her chest, Lucinda gave Beck another cold smile before gesturing to the other two. "And these are my sisters, Crystal and Amethyst. We are the New Blood Coven."

"I'm sorry if I don't seem entirely thrilled to be talking to you right now," Beck grumbled as she tried to take a step back, only pushing her back more into the tree behind her. "But you three dragged me out of my bed in the middle of the night. Not to mention, tried to make me jump off of a roof and quite possibly stab myself with a kitchen knife. So, I'm gonna give you to the count of five to either tell me what the hell you want or send me home before I scream. One..."
