I gulp as I stare down the door hidden away in the school's boiler room. It's heavily bolted, but that's no problem for me. Still...I feel wary of stepping any closer to it.

Something bad happened down there.

The machines clank and puff loudly, echoing like thunder. Dim yellow bulbs behind rusted metal cages are evenly placed a few feet apart all along the wall. It gives off an unnerving glow to the metal room made of rusted bronze walls.

A giant industrial fan hides in a deep tunnel where only darkness can be seen. It whirs slowly, whooshing in time with a heartbeat.

"I think I've been here before," I whisper to no one in particular.

Trepidation creeps within me, like an echo from the past. All of these strange emotions have a common random thing I've had to deal with lately. The more we delve into Kinley's story, the more clues we find, the more things she left behind that I interact with - awakens pieces of me I'm not use to at all.

More than anything - I feel her sorrow. I know in my nonexistent heart, it's her who's really crying when I randomly freak out over people or objects I don't know personally. Everything we've found seems to show us a happy girl who always smiled.
But she's not smiling anymore.
