I SWAMin a small riverine just outside the main city, a place I was lucky to call my own, as none but me knew of it. A time before my father was known as the mad king. Growing up after the First Fall my brother and I were never allowed too far from the inner city, at least if we weren't with guards.

When Kai had become a part of the Kingsgaurd soon after becoming the Kings hand his freedom was granted, with much hesitance my father had allowed my brother to do as he pleased. Ever since he had been steadily climbing the ranks, there seemed to be a slight hope for my father, where his life for a short time was not ran by grief and guilt. This is what my brother lived for, what he was born for, and we were all finally connected once more since the fall because of the pride and happiness we had for him.
I envied his freedom, I looked up to him. My brother was born with the need to protect those who couldn't protect them selves, he was to be a warrior, not king. When children are born into the royal family, the day they are born they are brought to the Hearts chamber, a scared place only the royal family were granted the knowledge of.
