Again (Levi x Reader Modern)

Strange things.

Levi's pov.

The next morning the crazy shitty glasses had the cars ready for (Y/n). She stood in the front looking nervous. I don't know if I felt bad about what I said but it was the truth. That brat. He sighed as his thought wondered. "Okay, who is up first?" She asked looking for volunteers "Captain Levi?" She asked," I will drive first with you then I will show you." I scoffed as I got in by the passenger seat. She started the car she was silent but a smile was plastered on her face.

The engine revved up"Ready?" she asked and all I could do is nod before I die. The car started to move to push me back in my seat withing 10 seconds she drove like a maniac. I clutched onto the thing she called the seatbelt. She braked to turn and as she turned we started to accelerate again avoiding buildings and objects she placed on the coarse she designed.

Oh damn I might die today I thought to close my eyes. " open your eyes" she ordered and I did so. Again she slowed down for a slight turn that almost look like you can drive straight through and accelerate again dust behind us as the tires screeched this woman could drive. "Where did you learn to drive like this?" I asked her blankly. " I took an advanced course a few months back." She said as she continued to drive like a maniac. Once she stopped I couldn't help but feel happy that I could walk on the earth again. She got out of the vehicle. " Okay so if I may make a suggestion?" She asked looking at me and I only nodded emotionless. " I suggest all of you learn when you have time. I think if we drive halfway and then take horse rides the last half we stand no chance of being a pancake in the car if Titans stop us. We can also bring more supplies and is necessary the medical team can do pickups."

Without even noticing I nodded along agreeing with her. "But first thing is first," He said coldly " You will be cleaning the stables for 3 weeks," I said and left. Leaving the (h/c) headed girl to teach the rest of the scouts.

(Y/n)'s pov

It's been a long and hard day you sat with your friends in the mess hall and ate your bread and potatoes. " I can't wait to learn more and drive myself," Eren said jumping up in excitement. "It's still intimidating, that big machine.." Armin said as he finished off his bread. And before I knew it Jean and Eren were up in each other's faces. Arguing about who is the strongest and name-calling. You sighed as you pushed out your chair. " I'm heading to the stables" I answered and bid everyone a good night.

The air was still cool at night but it was getting warmer each day. The stables. Well, it was smelly and dirty from the horses staying in it for the day. I started dusting off the high to reach places and moved on into moving all the hay out to clean the floor. Replacing the old hay with new ones. My attention we're broke when I heard a horse in the back neigh. Walking closer to the horse I looked at him in awe. He was a black stallion his coat was shiny and it was a muscular horse. It was one beauty of a horse. I stood closer to him and I saw he kept an eye on me. Reaching my hand out I waited for him to come to me. The horse pushed his snout into my hand and wiggled his head showing he wanted attention. Softly I began to pet him, he looked completely content.

"Ahem" I heard from the back of me turning to fave none other than captain Levi. I saluted at him and walked away from the horse. " I was just finishing up" I quickly explained and his face softens. " You understand why I'm so hard on you right?" His tone is almost emotionless. " I don't want to see you get hurt out there, I just want you to be prepared for everything thrown at you" nodding I looked at him as he inspected the stables. " This will have to do for now. It's already late. Get cleaned up then I will walk you back to your room." He ordered and left standing outside to wait.

My heartbeat in my chest like a drum. I felt my cheeks burn in pink as I could help but to feel shy. He was really a good guy and I did like him but everyday it tends to grow into more. After I finished getting myself clean I watched him from the back as he was busy admiring the night sky. " If you're trying to sneak up on me you'd have to do better " he scoffed but I could hear the smile in his face. He turned to me and for the first time since the short time I knew him I almost saw the sadness in his eyes. He held out his hand and I took it pulling me closer he looked at me and sighed.

"We need to talk," he said barely above a whisper. I could only nod, as we were standing so close and he was still holding my hand. " I...I... Go by each day with the saying no regrets." He looked away for a moment before looking back up at me." (Y/n) I want to tell you this before next week's expedition. Even if nothing bad happens I don't want to regret not telling you." His voice was filled with emotion as he spoke and my face glowed in different shades of pink as I nodded while he spoke. " I've been in love with you since the day we met... It was like love at first sight." He sighed as his face was also flushed in different shades of pink. " I just wanted you to know. " still with his hand in mine he began to walk, walking me to my dorm.

Levi's pov

"Well good night.." I said turning. "Wait..." I faced her and looked at her. " Your not even giving me time to reply." (Y/n) said her face pink. " Don't just tell me your in love with me and walk away." (Y/n) then placed her hand on my cravat she pulled me in closer "I myself have been in love with you since we met to" her lips met mine and I wrapped my arms around her. As the seconds passed we deepened the kiss. Pulling away breathlessly I placed my nose against her. "Good night (Y/n)" I murmured and kissed her again before leaving the (h/c) haired woman in front of her dorm.
