Chapter 6

Umi looked puzzled. She didn't know what to say. She tried opening her mouth but there are no words coming out

"U...mi-chan... what are you doing here?" Nozomi finally asked

"I... I'm... Well... I'm here to... I'm really sorry! I didn't mean to-" she bows her head and runs as fast she can far away from them

"Kotori-chan... I think you should run after her" Nozomi said to Kotori, who was still shocked after she saw Umi

Kotori runs after Umi. She tried to stop her.

'Kotori likes me? Like? That kind of 'like'? She's been in love with me since we're young? ...but we're both girls... aaah! Mou!' Umi blushed as she thought about what she just heard and she can't still processed it

"U-umi-chan... Wait! Please listen to me!" Kotori called her but she didn't heard her. She just kept on running.

Umi crossed the road. She didn't noticed the red signal for her to stop. She realized that she was about to get hit by a car but somebody pushed her. When she turned around she was shocked to saw Kotori lying on the ground, unconscious and full of blood.

"K-kotori! wake up! Pull yourself together! Kotori!" Umi went to Kotori and called an ambulance

She also contacted the others about Kotori's condition

(At the hospital)

The other u's members arrived at the hospital. They spotted Umi sitting and waiting outside the ER.

"Umi-chan! What happened? Where's Kotori-chan?" the ginger haired girl approach her

"She's still inside. This is all my fault... my fault!" Umi answered with her head down. She can't help herself from crying.

"Umi! Pull yourself together! This isn't your fault... this isn't anyone's fault!" the student council president strokes Umi's back to calm her down

"But... if only... I... didn't run and listened to her... This won't happen... This is my fault!"

They just stared at Umi. They didn't know what to say. They didn't know how to comfort her because they didn't know the whole story except for Nozomi. They just know that Kotori got into an accident.

Honoka couldn't stop herself, she don't want to see Umi like that. They were always together since they were young but it's the first time she see's Umi like this. Honoka went in front of Umi and slapped her as hard as she can to wake her up. The other members can't believe what Honoka did.

"Umi-chan! Snap out of it! I don't know what really happened but please don't blame yourself. I don't want to see you like this and I know Kotori-chan will not like to see you like this when she wakes up." Honoka said

Umi touched her cheek where Honoka slapped her. It's the first time she saw Honoka got mad and what's more slapped her. Umi calmed down and remain silent.

The doctor came out from the ER

"She is now stable, but... she's still unconscious. She also needs to be transfered in her own room. If you'll excuse me I'll just take care of some things." the doctor said and excused himself

They transfered Kotori in her own room. They visited Kotori everyday, before and after school. Days past but she's still unconcious.

One day Umi, who still feeling guilty about what happened, decided to stay beside Kotori. Umi fell asleep besides Kotori's bed. When she woke up she saw Kotori moving her finger and slowly opens her eyes.

"Ah! K-Kotori thank goodness you're awake! I'll call the doctor and inform the others that you're awake." she immediately went outside to call the doctor.

After the doctor checks Kotori's condition, Honoka & the others arrived.

"Kotori-chan! Thank goodness! How are you feeling? Do you need anything? We were really worried you know?!" Honoka approach Kotori

"Honoka. Kotori just woke up. Let her rest for a while." Eli said

"It's ok Eli-chan. I'm fine now Honoka-chan. Thanks and I'm really sorry for making you worry." Kotori answered then smile

"K-kotori... I... I'm really really sorry about what happened!" Umi apologized to her and bows her head

Kotori looked at Umi like it's the first time seeing her, like she's a stranger. She just stared at Umi without saying anything.

"Anou... I'm sorry but who might you be?" she asked Umi with a serious expression on her face.
