CHAPTER EIGHT

A feeling of Déjà vu took over Tatum's body as she stood in her childhood bedroom, staring at her reflection in the mirror. It didn't surprise Tatum that Gemma had taken it upon herself to throw a party at the clubhouse. A welcome home party of sorts her father explained to her before leaving just ten minutes after she had arrived to get to the clubhouse and fill himself with alcohol and croweater pussy. Tatum was a bit apprehensive about the party, she honestly just wanted to sleep after the long drive from Santo Padre, but she knew Gemma would show up at her father's house and drag her to the clubhouse by her hair if she didn't show up. Tatum was also ready to get seeing everyone out of the way already. It had been a while since she had seen members of SAMCRO. Sure there were the rare times when they had business in Santo Padre, and had time for a quick visit before riding back to Charming, but it had been awhile since SAMCRO had business in the small town close to the Mexico border.

"That color always looked good on you." The blonde biker spoke, leaning against the doorway with his infamous smirk on his handsome face. Jax could see a smile form on Tatum's face as she tucked a piece of her blue hair behind her ear. He couldn't believe that she was actually here, a mere few feet away from him. Jax wanted nothing more than to run his hands over her smooth skin and kiss her all over, but he had to refrain from doing so.

"Long time no see, Teller." A smile took over Tatum's face as she stared at Jax. It felt like time stood still as they stared at each other. Tatum had been nervous to see Jax, unsure of how she would feel about seeing him, but now that he was standing a few feet away from her, she just wanted to wrap her arms around him. She hadn't realized just how much she missed Jax.

Jax pushed himself off of the doorway, the smirk still in tact on his face as he took a few strides towards Tatum, closing the distance between them. "I've fuckin' missed you darlin'." He said while twirling a piece of her blue hair around his finger. Jax studied Tatum's face as she looked up at him with a content smile on her face. She still looked the same as she did on the day she left. Sure, she had blue hair now and looked a little more mature, but she was still the same woman who owned half of his heart.

"I've missed you too, darlin'." Tatum mocked letting out a laugh as she threw her arms around Jax, burying her face in his kutte. The smell of leather, cologne, and cigarettes immediately filled her nose. It reminded her of home, and she didn't mean Charming. "So are you going to tell me who Cal is marrying?" Tatum raised an eyebrow while pulling herself out of Jax's warm embrace. Tatum's father hadn't stayed long enough for her to question him about Cal's bride to be, and she doubted he would tell her anyway.

"Nah darlin'." Jax laughed while shaking his head. His body immediately missed the feeling of Tatum's arms wrapped around him. "You'll find out tonight."

Tatum rolled her eyes at Jax's answer while grabbing a long forgotten leather jacket from the closet. "Well let's go then, Teller. I don't want to miss the surprise." She said with sarcasm dripping from her words.

Jax let out a laugh as he followed Tatum out of the room, his hand placed on the small of her back. He was sure Tatum couldn't miss the surprise if she tried, but he didn't voice that to her. The blonde biker could only hope Cal's surprise didn't completely ruin Tatum's first night back in Charming.

The drinks were doing their job and taking full effect over Tatum as she talked with Gemma. The matriarch had grabbed a hold of Tatum once she and Jax stepped into the clubhouse, pulling the blue haired woman towards a couch where she could question her without anyone interrupting them. Gemma talked to Tatum on a regular, but she knew the Princess of SAMCRO didn't tell her everything going on in her life. Especially when it came to the Mayan she was intimate with in Santo Padre. Gemma had plans when it came to Tatum and Jax, and when Tatum left her plans got derailed, but now that Tatum was back Gemma planned on making sure she stayed in Charming and with Jax.

"It's good to have you home, baby." Gemma smiled as the party continued on around them. "It's nice to have the Princess back." She added with a smirk knowing full well that Tatum hated being referred to as the Princess.

Tatum rolled her eyes as the word Princess left Gemma's mouth. There was nothing more she hated than being called SAMCRO's Princess, it was a nickname she had been given at birth and it followed her around most of her life until she left Charming, where she was more than happy to leave it. "It's just for two weeks, Gem." Tatum pointed out, her words a bit slurred. It seemed like everyone was forgetting she was only back for two weeks. It felt like everyone thought this was a permanent move back instead of just a visit.

"Right." Gemma said unconvincingly as her eyes looked across the room. The smirk on her face growing wider as she took notice of her son staring at Tatum with a smile on his face, ignoring the party and croweater pussy all around him. "Go enjoy your party." Gemma said, placing a kiss on Tatum's cheek.

Tatum gave Gemma a drunken smile before walking off towards the bar. A shot of vodka was immediately placed in front of her once she reached the bar, she nodded her 'thanks' to the prospect behind the bar and quickly tossed the clear liquor into her mouth. Tatum pulled out her phone and let out a sigh. There was a drunken text from Angel that she had yet to respond to, and she didn't plan on it either. When Tatum had told Angel she thought two weeks apart would be good for them, she also meant they shouldn't text or call each other while she was in Charming. Tatum figured Angel didn't feel the same way from his incoherent text.

"I see vodka is still your go to."

Tatum quickly pushed her phone back into her pocket, a smile took over her face as she turned away from the bar and looked up into the blue eyes of her baby brother. "Cal!" She shouted over the loud music, throwing her arms around her much taller younger brother. "About fucking time you showed up." She teased. "Now where is my mysterious sister in law to be?" Tatum asked while looking around her brother's large frame.

Cal let out a laugh as he turned around and motioned with his head for his bride to be to step forward. He knew it was going to be a shock to Tatum's system once she saw who it was, but he hoped his older sister would give the woman a chance. "Tatum." He said slowly as he watched his sister's jaw drop in shock.

"This is a joke, right?" Tatum asked as the no longer, not so mysterious woman stepped forward. Tatum suddenly felt very sober.

"No." Cal shook his head. "I'm marrying Ima." He smiled down at the blonde, pulling her close as he wrapped an arm around her.

Tatum wasn't sure when he got there, but Jax was at her side with a comforting hand on her back. "Jesus Christ." She muttered while shaking her head. This was worse than she could ever have imagined.
