He loved her with all his heart. Of course, Teru would never tell that straight to her face - let alone even open the topic of "love".

Seeing the pronounced dimples on her cheeks along with a charming smile was enough to make his heart experience a cardiac arrest - it was lethal enough to poison his veins with her very weal.

Suffice to say that he was bewitched, it was almost like she casted a hex on him. But, by whom?

It was none another than his childhood friend, (Y/N) of the Shima clan. Boy, oh boy - she's a paragon of beauty even though she puts no effort in trying to be attractive, hence she was already drop-dead gorgeous to begin with.

And what made him frustrated was various guys of his age would try to ask her out - it won't be long enough before she starts accepting confessions!

Teru didn't like the idea of (Y/N) dating other men. Not. Even. An. Ounce.

"Teru? Teru-kun? Teeeruu??"

Snapping out from his trance, a familiar (E/C) orbs greeted his ocean blues before a giggle escaped her lips.

"Geez Teru, you've been spacing around me a lot!" A lopsided smile adorned his face, sheepisly scratching the back on his head before mouthing a "sorry" towards the young girl.

"Any news about the 7th Mystery (Y/N)?" I forgot to mention, she was his partner in crime when it comes to exorcising unearthly beings.

The Shima clan practiced exorcism and had passed warding spells through different generations for the child to inherit, (Y/N) was one of them - she was given the title of "Priestess" at such young age because of her consummate skill in performing exorcism along with mediumship that no one in the family can perform.

In other words, she was born a prodigy yet she thinks that her training and hard work were the reasons that made her into a good exorcist.

"No luck Teru-kun, maybe I should try looking again." Shaking her head in dismay as the blonde teen looked her at with an expression that was unreadable.

"No, you should rest (Y/N). Searching for a supernatural 24/7 is exhausting." A small smile brandished his handsome visage, the girl immediately flopped down on the chair before releasing a sigh of relief.

"It's reaally difficult to find hiim Teeru~" He patted the her head before she proceeded to release a series of whine.

"Well, do you want to come and rest at my place?" Sometimes, she would help around his household - cooking, cleaning and playing with his siblings.

He hates to admit the fact that she was a better cook than him, even Kou had concurred which made him sulk in the corner for days.

"Nee-san is a better cook than you will ever be Nii-san.".

Harsh.

Kou and Tiara loved (Y/N) so much - getting a visit from her was enough to make them cry tears of joy.

It was difficult for her to leave the Minamoto household because of the cuteness that the Minamoto siblings posessed - Of course, she loved them dearly as well.

"I would love too! I already miss Kou and Tiara." Teru could feel the sparkles radiating off from her. A chuckle escaped his soft lips, letting the girl stand up in anticipation.

"What are you waiting for, let's go!" Before she could even reach the door, his hand gently gripped her wrist. (Y/N) looked at the blonde male in bafflement.

"What's wrong Teru?"

"You forgot about this." Without a second thought, his fingers slowly interwined with hers. He clutched her hand, letting her feel his warmth.

"Well then. Let's go!" It didn't matter to him as the students glanced at their way, witnessing their hands glued together by his will.

Although he knew that it was nothing but a friendly gesticulation for her, it made him joyous nonetheless.

Until the day comes - his confession, even if there was no assurance that his feelings will be recpriocated. He will continue to walk down the path with his hand laced with hers.

Because after all, holding hands with her was already enough to make his heart jump in happiness.

"Don't date any other guys (Y/N)."

"What are you talking about? I swear you are acting really weird again Teru-kun." A giggle escaped her lips before finally leaving.

Oh Teru, just confess already.
