Elizabeth's POV
I poured myself a drink quickly swallowing it before pouring myself another. I wanted to forget everything and nothing was working
Izzy, Clary, Jace, and Simon were helping everything be ready for the wedding and I was here trying to drown my troubles in alcohol
Picking up my phone I dialed the only person I could think of. "What's up sweet pea?" The familiar voice says
"Magnus I- I need you" I whispered. "Oh little one I'll open a portal give me a second" before he hung up and a few seconds later a portal opened
I quickly ran in and into the comforting arms of magnus who already had his arms wide open . He had become my best friend over the last few weeks at the institute and I couldn't be more grateful for him
"What's wrong?" He asks and I feel tears Bree in my eyes. "He's marrying Lydia today. I-I can't be with the guy I love because he is marrying someone else Mag" I cried and he gave me a pointed look
"That man is in love with you Elizabeth. The sexual tension between you two is unbearable whenever you're in a room" he shudders and I let out a chuckle as he lightened the mood a little
"If he loves me like everyone says he will why doesn't he call this whole thing off and not give a shit about what others will think?" I said and Magnus sighs
"Shadowhunters are stupid and they think that what others see is more important than their own emotions. He's different though little one. You break down his tough exterior every single time you speak to him" Magnus says grabbing my hands
"I-I don't know" I whispered and Magnus smirks at me. "I have a plan"
"What is it?"
"We're crashing his wedding" he says and I shake my head. "I- I can't go back there. Plus I don't want to embarrass myself" I said and he shakes his head
"Trust me on this little one" he says and I sigh before nodding. "Fine but I need a serious wardrobe change"

A few minutes later Magnus had dressed me in an elegant light blue dress that had a slit along the leg but was still so stunning
My hair was left down in a slightly curled look and my makeup was natural before I took a deep breath and grabbed Magnus's hand
"Shall we little one?"
"Let's do this"

Magnus had portaled us in front of the institute and I felt my heart beat increase as I walked up the steps feeling the most anxious I had ever been
"Come on" Magnus mumbles before leading me towards two big white doors and I shook my head
"I can't do this anymore. This was a bad idea" I said and Magnus rolls his eyes. "Yeah okay you made me do this" he said before blue sparks appeared and the door dramatically burst open before he pushed me inside with his magic
They were just about to draw the marriage rune on each other before everyone stopped and looked at me as Magnus casually strolled by next to me and made a seat appear next to Izzy before smiling at me
Alec had looked at me in a way I couldn't really decipher and I inhaled a sharp breath. "Alexander Gideon Lightwood I Elizabeth Violet Fairchild am in love with you and I know you want to restore your family name but fuck Alec I care about you. I care about your happiness and I can't watch you do this. I know I'm being selfish because I don't want you to get married and throw what we have away but I also don't want you to suffer and regret something for the rest of you life. So I'm sorry for crashing your wedding and I'm sorry for telling you that I love you this way but I can't watch you marry her" I said my voice strong but Alec wasn't showing any emotions and it was scaring the shit out of me
He slowly took a step down keeping eye contact with me and Maryse glared at me before walking to Alec as he began to take long strides towards me
"Alec-"
"Enough" he silenced her as he stepped in front of me. "Elizabeth Violet Fairchild I Alexander Gideon Lightwood am in love with you. I'm sorry for putting you through hell this last week and I'm sorry for almost making a mistake but I love you El. I love everything about you and I want you to be mine" he said
Before I could respond he grabbed my waist pulling me closer to him before placing his other hand on my cheek kissing me deeply and passionately
I got lost in him as I rested my hands with my thumb in front of his ear and the rest of my fingers resting against the sides of his neck as I pulled him impossibly closer
Pulling back from the kiss a little we both opened our eyes looking at each other smiling before kissing again
It was the most amazing feeling ever and not to mention the best kiss I had shared with Alec so far
Pulling away again realizing we were in the eye of many people I saw some of them looking at with shock, some happy, and some mad (cough cough Maryse cough cough)
Izzy, Jace and Magnus were sharing a huge grin and Clary and Simon squealed in their seats like little children
As Alec's hand clutched mine as the group came up to us and congratulated us I knew everything would turn out okay as I smiled up at Alec as he shared the same look while looking down at me
