We were too young
To know we had everything
Too young
I wish I could've seen it all along
I'm sorry that I hurt you, darling,

"Next is Too Young. Give me something good." Greg instructs.

Louis mentally faceplants. It's so fucking obvious what or who this song is about. He had fought really hard with his management to put it on the record. It needs to be there.

"Quite a simple song really. Eh, again, didn't need too much production. Uhm, and conceptually it's one, eh, I wrote it in the point of view of how much responsibility you can have at a young age of potentially meeting, you know, the girl you gonna spend the rest of your life with and that's a heavy responsibility, you know, for any age and especially you know, trying to deal with that at eighteen and understanding that and being mature enough to deal with that. Ehm, so kind of just conceptualize that and, and put it into this song."

At least he put the word girl into that babbling mess.

He is lucky his team hasn't done the backup research. He just got away with referring to the song being about the one big love he met at eighteen. He knows the fans will do the connection. He had been almost twenty years old when Eleanor came along. Louis smirks to himself before he gets ready for a second take.

"This was one of those sessions... I comfortably say this song took the longest. Ehm, the song itself was written melodically quickly but some producers like to work very, very meticulously, you know what I mean? And this was one of those sessions. I was definitely there all day but well worth it and decent tune."

He had been honest this time. Nothing he had said had been wrong or a reach. Louis feels satisfied with the second part.

He asks for another break. His mind is clouded by memories of him and Harry at a young age. God, they had been so young when they first met! Memories of a sixteen-year-old Harry flash before his eyes. They had met in a bathroom at the x-factor. Harry had managed to splash pee over his shoe. Louis smiles from the memory.

He had been infatuated from the start. Harry was like nobody else he had ever met before. They became friends in an instant and they were both so happy when they were put in a band together. Louis soon realized that he felt more for Harry and that scared him to death.

Harry had always been the brave one from the start. Louis remembers the conversation they had late one night in the x-factor house like it was yesterday. Harry had told him with big innocent eyes and a trembling voice that he liked him more than as a friend. Louis had never been so happy in his life before. He confessed that he felt the same way and Harry's face lit up in a beautiful dimple smile.

They were both insecure in the beginning. Neither of them had ever had feelings for the same sex before. Louis had been so confused. Then they kissed for the first time and everything fell into place. Harry initiated it of course and Louis thought his heart would burst from the feeling. He had only kissed girls until that moment and he had never felt anything special about it. He had never really liked kisses.

He had a girlfriend when he applied for the x-factor. Hannah was a great girl but there was something missing. When he kissed Harry for the first time he finally understood what it should feel like.

Before that crucial moment, he had thought that he might be bisexual but he realized he's gay and he had a hard time coping with it. Hell, he still had a hard time coping with it some days. Now it's more about the reaction from his fans that's bothering him. Will they hate him?

He couldn't get enough of Harry and his soft lips. They made out every chance they got. Louis was so infatuated by the green-eyed, curly-haired boy, and by the way, Harry was looking at him all the time, the feeling was mutual.

Their affection for each other didn't go unnoticed. They were called into the office and were reprimanded firmly. They were told to hide it. How do you hide your first time being truly in love at such a young age? They tried but failed.

They were told constantly that it was just a phase that would pass. No one stayed with their first love for the rest of their life. They were told so often that their love would never last that Louis somewhere along the way started to believe it himself. He had been so wrong! He couldn't take the pressure and broke up with Harry after a year together. Harry had been heartbroken. Louis listened to Harry's song Two Ghosts when he released his first album and it broke him. He had hurt Harry so much but he had taken him back anyhow. Louis just had to ask him to.

He'd been jealous and immature. Their management fixed Harry up with different women. Harry's bisexual and Louis was so afraid that he would fall for one of the gorgeous girls he "dated." They fought about it all the time. His own beard Eleanor was another thing. It hurt Harry that Louis had to have a steady "girlfriend." He couldn't care less but Harry was also jealous.

They went through so much meaningless shit. Why couldn't they just be allowed to love each other? Why the hell did he have to go and destroy it even more with drugs? It seemed like the only solution then. It was a quick way to feel numb and a way to help him handle everything. He had been so fucking stupid.
