Part 41 - Realization

KHUSHI

The dinner with Arnav's family last night was pretty much awkward, it was obvious that they dint really like me much but as long as Arnav was with me, everything was going to be fine.

I stretched my arms lazily, I dint have any early morning shoot today so I had slept till late, and now that I was awake, all I could think of was how Arnav teased me last night, I was surely going to get revenge for that.

I sat up and picked up my phone from the side stand, I saw a couple messages from Aditya and before I could even open them to read, the door to my room opened and he walked in.

"Adi, what happened about knocking before entering someone's room?" I asked as I immediately covered myself with a blanket, I had a habit of sleeping with no clothes when it was hot, and it was the same case today.

"I'm sorry, it had been a habit for so long, I forgot to knock, but I did text you that I was coming."

"I was just checking the text and you barged in."

"I'm sorry, I'll go out and wait for you, you can get dressed and come out." He said awkwardly. It was weird, Adi and I had never been awkward about anything, it was the first time things felt awkward.

Before Adi could walk out though, Arnav walked in. Why had everyone decided to visit me right now?

"I dint know you had a visitor already." Arnav shrugged as he looked at Adi and then at me, I was still in bed trying to cover myself up.

"He just came." I said.

"Really?" Arnav looked at me in a really weird way, as if he dint believe me.

"You know what, I'll let you both carry on, I just remembered I have a meeting." He said as he started to walk away, I had no option than to run behind him to stop him, wow what a strange situation I was stuck in. He seemed really mad.

"Arnav Stop! Let's talk please." I said as I grabbed his hand, he looked at me and then at Adi who walked away immediately leaving the both of us alone, he walked towards the door, locked it and then turned to look at me.

"What is he doing in your room when you aren't dressed at all? What do you want me to make out of this situation Khushi? You and your ex-boyfriend in the same room, like this?" He looked at me from top to bottom.

"This is how I slept last night, I dint know he was going to visit me all over a sudden. It's my room Arnav, I can sleep naked, what's the problem with that?" I asked.

"There's no problem in you sleeping like that, the problem is you should have locked the door at least. Why dint you tell him to go out when he came? Why did you even invite him inside your room when you were in this state?"

"I dint, he dint even knock. He just pushed the door open and walked in, I told him to go out and wait for me and you came in at that exact moment. What is it Arnav, now don't you even trust me or what?" I get it he was mad, but he had to trust me if we were in a relationship.

He looked at me blankly for a moment and then grabbed me by the waist and pushed me to the nearest wall, he pinned me there and looked into my eyes strictly.

"I trust you Khushi, and it's because I trust you that I am letting this go. Look at me and believe me when I say this. You are mine! Just mine okay? And no one has the permission to see you like this or be inside your room when you're in this state apart from me.

I can't just tolerate the idea of another man looking at you this way, it's driving me mad so let me leave and try to calm myself down before I do something horrible to that ex-boyfriend of yours. And you two broke up, what is he still doing here?"
