A/N: this chapter is based on the song Grenade by Bruno Mars

North said that I had to carry a heavy metal thingy to Tooth. She's where she always is. Her castle. I lifted it up with all my strength. As I set off, a tear left my eye and rolled down my cheek. "Easy come, easy go. That's just how you live, oh. Take, take, take it all, but you never give." I softly sang. "Should've known you was trouble from the first kiss. Had your eyes wide open, why were they open?" I sang a little louder, with sadness in my voice. "Gave you all I had, and you tossed it in the trash. You tossed it in the trash, you did. To give me all your love is all I ever asked, 'cause what you don't understand is..I'd catch a grenade for you," My arms felt weak, and I dropped the heavy piece of metal to the ground. I stood behind it and started dragging it across the snow. "Throw my hand on a blade for you. I'd jump in front of a train for you. You know I'd do anything for you. Yeah, I would go through all of this pain, take a bullet straight through my brain. Yes, I would die for you baby, but you won't do the same." As I approached a steep hill, I turned around and pushed the metal up the hill. "Black, black, black and blue, beat me 'til I'm numb. Tell the devil I said 'Hey.' when you get back to where you're from." As the hill got steeper, I started to get a bit weak. "Mad woman, bad woman, that's just what you are. Yeah, you'll smile in my face then rip the brakes out my car. Gave you all I had, and you tossed it in the trash. You tossed it in the trash, yes you did. To give me all your love is all I ever asked, 'cause what you don't understand is..I'd catch a grenade for you. Throw my hand on a blade for you. I'd jump in front of a train for you. You know I'd do anything for you. Oh, I would go through all this pain, take a bullet straight through my brain. Yes, I would die for you baby, but you won't do the same." He couldn't hold the tears back anymore. Tears rolled uncontrollably down his cheeks, and he didn't stop them. "If my body was on fire, oh, you'd watch me burn down in flames. You said you loved me, you're a liar. 'Cause you never, ever, ever did, baby." He looked at his feet with red and puffy eyes. His face looked like two mini waterfalls. "But darling, I'd still catch a grenade for you. Throw my hand on a blade for you. I'd jump in front of a train for you. You know I'd do anything for you. Oh, I would go through all this pain, take a bullet straight through my brain. Yes I would die for you baby, but you won't do the same." Jack made it to the top of the hill and Tooth's castle was right in front of him. "No, you won't do the same." Tooth came out and took the piece of metal, thanking Jack, but not recognizing his face, and closed the door behind her. "You wouldn't do the same." He turned around. "Oh, you'd never do the same. No, no no no." Black sand surrounded Jack as he collapsed to the ground.
