"See? Easy," Tara said. I opened my eyes. I knew I'd be able to see myself even if it had worked, so I took a few steps over to the oven and saw the lack of a reflection once again.

"To deactivate it, just do the same thing," said Kat.

"Oh, wait, come here," Tara said, waving me over. "If you're not already."

"I'm coming," I said. I stuck out my arm and lightly placed it on Dev's shoulder when I got over to them.

"Oh! She's here," Dev said, jumping a little when I touched her.

"Perfect. You should go fuck with the guys," Tara whispered.

"What do you mean?" I asked. As if on cue, they all yelled from the room over.

"Suck my DICK, Corey!" Jake yelled.

"GLADLY!" Corey screamed back.

"Oh my god," Colby said.

"My turn!" Sam exclaimed.

"Go fuck with them. Wait until they're in the middle of a game or something and unplug the TV. They're being annoying as fuck today," said Tara.

"Seriously? You want me to do that?" I asked. I wasn't usually mean for fun, but I guess that this wouldn't actually hurt them at all.

"Hell yeah, sis," said Kat.

"Here, I'll even distract them. Come with me for a second, you guys," Dev said. The four of us quickly walked past the entrance to the living room and went to the front door.

"Colby, Jupiter's going to run home and shower. She'll come back when she's done," Dev yelled.

"She can just take one here," Colby called from the other room.

"I like mine. I'll be back, bye!" I called. I opened and shut the door, then followed the girls back through the kitchen and into the living room.

"Did... did she actually just leave?" Colby asked.

"Yeah, she said bye," Tara said.

"I know, I just... I don't know. Never mind," Colby said. He looked sad that I'd 'left' without saying bye to him specifically.

"Woah, wait, what about our powers?" Jake asked.

"Yeah, who gets them first?" asked Corey.

"I hope it's me," said Jake.

"I hope it's not," Corey replied.

"Lover boy over there will, obviously," Sam said, pointing at Colby. "They were literally screaming at each other and she started falling so damn hard she stopped breathing. I'm glad the man can finally feel something other than straight rage."

Colby threw the video game controller he was holding at Sam, who ducked out of the way.

"Shut up," Colby grumbled.

"What, do you think I'm wrong? I'd choose Kat first in a heartbeat," Sam said. Colby shot him a silent glare.

"Colby's got a girlfriend, Colby's got a girlfriend," Corey sang. Colby threw his phone at Corey and hit his knee. "Ow!" Corey whined.

"Satan's a softie now," Jake said.

"Jake, the only thing I have left to throw are my fucking fists, so I suggest you shut the hell up before I make you shut up," Colby spat.

"Softie," Jake whispered.

"Asmodeus!" Colby yelled, jumping up onto his feet.

"Woah, Colby, chill out," Sam said.

"I don't fucking chill out! That's not my thing, idiot!" Colby yelled.

"Well make it your thing, brother. Jesus," Corey said. Colby's hands balled into fists at his sides and he clenched his jaw.

"I'm leaving," he said.

"Colby, come on," Kat said.

"You know they were just joking," said Dev.

"I don't fucking care! They can joke about me all they want, but they can not bring Jupiter into it! She's your fucking boss, you know that? She is in charge of you. Of all of us. It is pathetic and low that you just assume she's going to favor me over the rest of you and that you're going to attack me for showing some feelings for once. If you're going to call me a damn softie every time I'm remotely happy, then I just won't be happy! I'll be mad all of the time again! Is that what you assholes want?" Colby shouted.

"Fine, if you want to leave, then leave," Tara said, stepping out of his way to let him leave.

"Tara!" Kat exclaimed.

"This is why we need Jupiter," Colby grunted before storming out of the room. I heard the front door open and close and everyone's eyes shot over to me. Damn it.

"I...I'm visible now, huh?" I asked.

"Oh, shit," Jake said.

"I'm sorry," Sam quickly said. I crossed my arms and sighed. Sam had been right. I was planning on giving Colby his powers first. But I was sort of proud of Sam in a way. He hadn't been a dick, he had said what he believed to be true. Spoken up for himself when he was clearly aware of Colby's temper.

"Come with me. Now," I said, turning around.

"Fuck," Sam whispered under his breath. I snatched the papers off of the kitchen counter and walked over to the other living room.

"Sit," I said, pointing at the couch. He quickly sat down on it, obviously scared that he was going to get in trouble. "You're aware of what your powers are, no?" I asked. He nodded.

"Greed and...," I looked down at the papers and shuffled through them until I saw his. "Persuasion. Which one are you more excited for?"

"Persuasion," he said quietly.

"Eyes. Close them," I commanded. He shut his eyes tightly.

"Persuasion. Lilith grants permission to Mammon to utilize persuasion to its full extent," I said. Sam's neck twitched a little bit and his eyelids squeezed shut even tighter. I knew his ears were ringing and he saw the light. He opened them back up after a second.

"Y-you're not mad at me?" he asked, confused.

"No. Stood up for yourself, didn't back down when you knew Colby was already mad," I said.

"Oh," Sam said.

"There you go. There's a power. You get the first one," I said.

"Th-thank you," he said.

"Go back in there," I ordered. He quickly got up and walked out. I sighed and looked down at the papers again. Might as well go ahead and get mine out of the way in case I needed to use them.
