"Ugh"

Quickly without thinking Hirashi grabs his phone angrily. Who dare disturb him and his slumber?

"Good morning monster,"

"Oh, looks like you got a new number unknown," he yawns deleting the text and adding the number to the long list of blocked phone numbers..

"Hey Hirashi," Haruhi comes in. Quickly he closes his phone and puts it back on the desk. She doesn't seem to notice

"Time to wake up and get ready,"

"Oh, uh right." He stands stretching as she leaves

Getting dressed in his old clothes black mask and black eye patch went routinely.

"Hey dad," he says walking into the living room and sitting down to eat at the table in front of the couch.

"We have no plans for the rest of the week kids!" Hirashi looked over mouth full of cereal, this was good news to him how ever his dad looked upset?

"Isn't that good?" Haruhi asked their dad before he could

"Of course not! You're in your prime! In high school surrounded by beautiful BOYS,"

"OH AND girls no doubt," he looked at Haruhi when he said this

"I can't date girls?" Hirashi says chucking trying to teasing his father

"Well- er I didn't know you uh... if you want?"

"Nah I'm not interested in dating... boys or girls," he finished his cereal. He stood taking his bowl to the sink

"MY OWN FLESH AND BLOOD SAYING SUCH A THING," His dad fell over fake fainting like paper

"Dad, it's almost time for school, Hirashi will date when he's ready don't worry," Haruhi whispered to her dad while Hirashi was getting his shoes on.

"Bye dad," they both shouted in unison and left

Silence.. the walk to school felt awkward, rarely were they awkward with each other

"Why are you thinking so hard?" Haruhi blurts out

"Huh?" Hirashi caught off guard looks at his younger sister curiously his one eye tracing her for any give away son why she yelled

"You're thinking and it's making the once comfortable silence awkward...." She pauses, "Wanna talk about it?"

"Talk about what?" He mumbles crossing his arms as they walk

"I don't know whatever you're thinking about," Haruhi threw her arms up to exaggerate

"Hm.. I don't know what I'm thinking about... I guess what you said kind of bugged me," he looked around to make sure no old ladies or something were listening,

"What I said to dad?" Haruhi racked her brain

"Yeah," Hirashi sighs

"Are you ready to date?" She asked

"Well no.. but I don't think I ever will be, I don't like people and when I envision my future... all I see is me sad and alone in my own apartment, and maybe you and your family visiting... that's about it,"

"You don't have to date people to be happy,"

"I know that," Hirashi mumbles

"Then why do you see your future as sad?"

"I'm not sure... maybe I'll change my mind when I find someone," Hirashi sighs

"Maybe, for now focus on your self," Haruhi patted his shoulder

"Right," he felt his mask, there are a few reason why he wouldn't want to date

1. Sex seems disgusting 2. He hates people 3.his face

Even if he found the right person... would that person even want to date? Would they accept him?

Beep

He ignored his phone but haruhi seemed to notice

"Better answer that now, we'll be at the school soon."

"I think its just Unknown again," Hirashi sighs

"They got your new number?"

"Yeah not sure how," Hirashi says as they both enter the school gates

"You could ask the host club to help you-" Haruhi trys to say as they enter the school

"yeah right, like they would even care, Oh I gotta go this way today, Ill see you next class Haruhi," Hirashi hugs her and runs left the bell beeping signaling classes were starting

"Darn it," Haruhi mumbles watching Hirashi run, She starts to run towards her own class room the opposite way of his, if they lived closer they might have had time to talk about it.. .What did Hirashi mean by "Like they would even care,"

Does Hirashi think they only love Haruhi?
