"You talked to her?" Jess asked. Luke looked at him reluctant to reveal anything especially during rush hour. "Is your car fixed yet?" he sighed. Jess looked down sighing and shoved his hands in his pockets. He looked up avoiding eye contact, "I was thinking of staying a while longer." he shrugged.

Luke looked up at him. "Yeah." he looked at him, "That's happened before." he wiped down the counter infront of him.

"It's different now." he argued.

"Different how." Luke retorted looking at him. Jess sighed and looked down briefly, "I'm not sure yet."

Luke shook his head, "No Jess."

"No what?"

"You're not staying. You're not getting involved." he told him.

"Oh, so I guess I'm suppose to listen to you? I'm sorry-but it doesn't work that way anymore." he said. Luke rolled his eyes, "You leave that girl alone." he said. Jess shook his head, "Make me." he said childishly before leaving the diner. Luke groaned.
