I was officially a senior. Amira had her baby around my birthday. She was going back to school and mama was taking care of the baby. She had a girl. Her name is

Sky Chellus. She is so adorable. Shawn and I have been together for a year now and I was happy to be with him. He walked me home and we talked. We sat on the porch and had the time of our lives. "Baby, I have to tell you something", He said to me, looking down. I knew something was wrong. "What is it?" I asked him feeling worried. "I'm moving in a couple of more months", he said looking in a different direction. "What?!", I said shocked and confused at the same time. He didn't look my way. I grabbed his face and he was looking upset. "Baby, I don't want nothing to go wrong between us", he said. "What are you saying? You want to break up with me?", I asked while tears coming down my cheeks. "No, not at all. I want us still together when I move", he said looking at me with his big, brown eyes. "I don't know what to say. It'll be different if we try this long distance thing. I won't see you for long time", I said crying my eyes out. He grabbed my chin and made me look at him in the eyes. I couldn't see because of the tears in my eyes. He wiped my eyes dry and kissed my lips. "I promise, I won't hurt you while I'm away", he said kissing me again. "Shawn, I want you by my side!" I said breaking down. "Promise me you'll be strong while I'm away?" he asked. "I promise, Shawnee", I said holding him tight. I sat there quiet not saying a word. He asked me a weird question. "Baby, would you give it to me when we're older??" "Maybe. If I'm ready by then. Sure", I said to him, honestly. I wondered why he asked that. He gave me a kiss then walked away and I walked inside the house. Then I walked again and sat outside a little longer, thinking about what just happened. Jordan walked up to me and hugged me. She apologized. I was happy that we became friends again. I told her what happen with Shawn and I and she didn't have anything to say. I really didn't care if she cared about Shawn and I was splitting apart. Amira was still getting her education but she wasn't coming home to take care of her child. Mama was stressing out bad. I still wanted to know who my father was but I'll wait a little longer to ask her. I was ready to graduate and get out of the projects
