he stood tall as he looked me up and down, he took the cigarette out of his mouth and blew out the smoke before speaking to me "I've never seen you before, you live around here?" he asked

"k-kinda" I stuttered

he laughs before he turned around "ir a la parte de atrás" he say as everyone who sat behind him got up left, he turned back "come on" he says

I had to option now follow him or run

...

here I am in Cesar's house, sitting at the dinner table I'm guessing with his older brother. He put out his cigarette in the ashtray that sat in the center on the table, I still haven't said anything neither had he, but I refuse to look at him in eyes.

I somehow managed my breathing but my heart was beating out of my chest, "What's your name?" he asked

I had forced myself to talk after came out my mouth the first time "j-jo" I stuttered
"Spooky" he says and I nod my head

One of his friends came in setting down a plate in front of me, his friend gave me a look before leaving us alone again "I figured you'd be hungry" he said and he was right I was. I hadn't eaten since lunch which was a good 2 and a half hours ago, you can't really blame me I just started eating food again- I'm still getting used to portion control

I wasn't going to eat the food that was given to me- but I know it was disrespectful to deny food that's been given to you especially if you're in their household. So I started the food, as I ate, he was texting on his phone

"Damn, guess i was right" he laughed as my plate was half empty. I wanted to leave, I wanted to go back to Ruby's house, I wished I never decided to go on that stupid walk. my thoughts were interrupted when the front door opened and in walked Cesar

His eyes widened when saw me sitting at the table with his brother, but he didn't say and continued walking I'm guessing to his bedroom, I can feel the tension between spooky and I became thick, thicker than before

Without thinking I stood up and he gave me a questionable look "um thank you for the food, but I- um I have to go" I managed to say

And with that, I rushed out of the house and ran all the way back to Ruby's house.

...

I finally make back to Ruby's house and I'm panting trying to catch my breath, I look up to see Mrs. Martinez standing on the porch looking at me "I didn't think you'd be back" she says

"Come inside, dinner is almost ready," she says walking inside and follow her, closing the door behind me
