Have you noticed in "Patience" that point where Axl says "Sometimes, I get so tense, but I can't speed up the time"? Like, in '88 there was minor trouble for him but still, his attitude and personality depressed him, he knew he was problematic and needed help! And he felt so disappointed by himself even though he hadn't done any of the worst things yet! That man hated himself and that was how it all began! Like, not even Izzy had noticed that and he left and this completely destroyed Axl, because he was so close to Izzy. Axl was so destructive because he felt he needed to change. This man has been through so much and yet he's still alive, while he could have jolly well commited suicide in '93 and end his own life. But no, he decided to stay and fight and make it better. And now he's almost over it.
