I posted this on my feed btw, but no one saw it so I'm reposting it here

It all started with this post about Yorktown and then I just did the entire soundtrack

SOMEONE GIVE ME AN FMA VERSION OF YORKTOWN FROM HAMILTON BUT IT'S THE PROMISED DAY 

•Ed as Hamilton obvi

• LING AS LAFAYETTE WOULD MAKE MY LIFE

• "Immigrants- we get the job done"

• Roy as Washington is perfect even though Washington has exactly one line, "Not yet" fits perfect for Roy

• Aphonse as Laurens makes sense

• BOTH OF THE ARMSTRONGS AS MULLIGAN (Alex has more Mulligan energy but Olivier fits the "spy on the inside" part better)

• I can't decide if Alexander Hamilton fits better for Roy (he kind of is a bastard orphan son of a whore) or Ed and Al, the first part fits for Roy and the second half for the Elrics ( "when he was ten his father split, his mother went quick", "skimming for every book he can get his hands on" etc

• "IN CENTRAL YOU CAN BE A NEW MAN"

• For Roy, I'd say the Elrics and Team Mustang are "We fought with him", Hughes is "Me, I died for him", Grumman is "Me, I trusted him," Riza is "Me, I loved him", and I guess Envy is "I'm the damn fool that shot him" since he killed Hughes

• AARON BURR SIR IS ED AND ROY'S ENTIRE CHARACTER DYNAMIC, Laurens, Lafayette and Mulligan are probably Hughes, Havoc and Armstrong or some variant

• My Shot is THE Edward Elric song, "only 15 but my mind is older"

• "E-D-W-A-R-D ELRIC, WE ARE, MEANT TO BE"• I'd probably give Roy Laurens' verse and then Riza would just come in like "GENIUSES LOWER YOUR VOICES"

• Ed ABSOLUTELY imagines death so much it feels more like a memory

• Dying of laughter right now imagining Roy coming up to Riza like "I'm a trust fund baby you can trust me" and Riza proceeding to roast the crap out him

• Oh geez imagine Yoki singing Farmer Refuted

• I NEED OLIVIER SINGING RIGHT HAND MAN IN MY LIFE "HERE COMES THE GENERAL"

• Seriously that song is pretty much what happens when the Elrics get to Briggs

• "Elric? Close the door on your way out" 

• "Dying is easy, living is harder" is 10/10 something Olivier would say, that also REALLY fits Roy

• I need A Winter's Ball/Helpless with Roy and Riza in my life• Ed's just like "Watch this obnoxious, arrogant, loudmouth bother" 

• "I have never been the type to try and grab the spotlight" RIZA 

• HUGHES IS ANGELICA "I'm about to change your life" has massive Hughes energy

• "If it takes fighting a war for us to meet it will have been worth it" OOF 

• "All I have's my honor, a tolerance for pain, a couple high rankings and my top notch brain" Roy

• But that's just the cute AU where they can actually get married, now I'm crying over Riza singing certain parts Satisfied bc they can't be together

• "INTELLIGENT EYES IN A HUNGER PANG FRAME, AND WHEN YOU SAID HI I FORGOT MY DANG NAME SET MY HEART AFLAME EVERY PART AFLAME THIS IS NOT A GAME" THIS IS SO ACCURATE AND THE FLAME PART MAKES IT EVEN BETTER

• "HE'S A BIT OF A FLIRT BUT IMMA GIVE IT A CHANCE"

• Roy will never be satisfied 

• I'M SOBBING THERE'S SO MUCH ROYAI IN THIS SONG WHY HAVE I NEVER NOTICED THIS, "AT LEAST I KEEP HIS EYES IN MY LIFE"

• Lol Team Mustang singing Story of Tonight Reprise 

• ROY AS BURR TALKING ABOUT BEING IN LOVE WITH RIZA BUT NOT BEING ABLE TO MARRY HER BC OF THE FRATERNIZATION LAWS AND ED BEING LIKE "If you love this woman go get her"

• Every. Single. Word. Of Wait for It is Roy. "I AM THE ONE THING IN LIFE I CAN CONTROL, I AM INIMITABLE I AM AN ORIGINAL, I'M NOT FALLING BEHIND OR RUNNING LATE, I'M NOT STANDING STILL I AM LYING IN WAIT"

• That Would Be Enough is so EdWin it hurts

• I can't decide if Guns and Ships works better for Armstrong or Ling

• IMAGINE ROY SINGING HISTORY HAS ITS EYES ON YOU TO ED IT'S TOO PERFECT

• Great, now I desperately want Roy and Ed singing Dear Theodosia to their newborn babies, I'm crying inside again

• "We'll bleed and fight for you, we'll make it right for you"

• "My father wasn't around...I swear that I'll be around for you"

There won't be much Act 2 bc FMA mostly goes with Act 1 of Hamilton but there are still a few parts

• I can absolutely see Winry singing Take a Break to Ed, alternatively it also works for Trisha and Hohenheim and I can totally see baby Ed doing Phillip's rap

• ROY WANTS TO BE IN THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS DANG IT "CLICK BOOM"

• There are literally so many Ed/Hamilton and Roy/Burr parallels it's making me squee

• Ed singing Hurricane

• "WE'LL IM GOING BACK TO SLEEP" -Winry Rockbell

• If Roy died young and never made it to Furher Riza would ABSOLUTELY pull an Eliza and make sure his memory wasn't forgotten and do a bunch of awesome stuff in his stead and no one can tell me otherwise

There are actually several GORGEOUS FMA/Hamilton edits on Youtube, I'll post them all right here! Sadly I didn't find the Roy/Room Where It Happens edit I wanted though (these contain spoilers for Brotherhood and 2003)
