I have my friend to thank for this. This is a bit of an out there choice, but since I honestly couldn't think of any men who'd be a better fit, I think Lauren Lopez could potentially be a great for Edward Elric! she's played boys before (who could forget her performance as Draco Malfoy in A Very Potter Musical), and she's also the same height as Ed (5'0)! She's a really versatile and talented performer who I think could actually do really well in this role.

Christopher Jackson is honestly the only person I could remotely see pulling off Major Armstrong. He's tall, bald and and has previous experience playing (somewhat) larger than life military figures, sooo I guess he's qualified. Love the guy

Having seen her terrific work in Miss Saigon and Hadestown, Eva Noblezada would make a perfect Lan Fan! Her voice has the exact sweet-but-powerful quality I'm looking for, and she would do great selling Lan Fan's conviction and loyalty.
