I absolutely love this song for them because they're both such strong badass people but they also need each other so much and I just want them to cry it all out in each other's arms sometimes (I especially love this song for Roy just because I'm just a sucker the super tough masculine guy who's secretly really soft and needs the affection of the woman he loves, which come on, we all know Roy is)

Okay, so this one is really nerdy. In the context of Steven Universe, this song is Pearl teaching Connie how to protect Steven while projecting her own feelings for Rose Quartz. I love imagining Roy singing this while preparing Edward for the military, lecturing Edward about being motivated by his desire to protect Alphonse while you can tell that he's thinking of Riza with every word he says. It'll make more sense if you watch the video I've attached- it's a great song so I encourage you to give it a listen! (Steven Universe is bomb don't listen to the haters)
