War zone

My alarm clock greets me like a punch to the face

Stare at the ceiling above me

Feels like I'm stuck in this place

No longer feel my breakfast

Because my tongue lost its taste

All these insignificant days going to waste

But I could make a change for the better today

The world is mine, just have to mould it my way

There's nothing to gain

but there is everything to lose

Being here is the hit

Being gone is the bruise

If I come out tomorrow with a smile on my face

It's because I have finally accepted this world that I have no choice but to embrace

Days full of fighting, screaming, and some tears

Things can get tough when you're fighting a war with no one here

So I take off my helmet, put down my gun

Just gonna take a step back,

go out and have fun

We don't need to be here in this godforsaken place

This fight for life is something no one can embrace

But I could make a change for the better today

The world is mine, just have to mould it my way

There's nothing to gain

but there is everything to lose

Being here is the hit

Being gone is the bruise

If I come out tomorrow with a smile on my face

It's because I have finally accepted this world that I have no choice but to embrace

Living in a war zone

Completely battered and confused, everything is tough

Especially If you're bruised

There's nothing to gain

But there is everything to lose

Being here is the hit

And Being gone is the bruise

If I come out tomorrow with a smile on my face

It's because I have finally accepted this world that I have no choice but to embrace
