Elena's POV

We arrive in the court yard and the horses circle the company. Meanwhile Elrond and I dismount our two horses. "Lord Elrond. Mellonnen! Mo evínedh?" Gandalf asks. (Translation: My friend! Where have you been?).

"Farannem 'lamhoth i udul o charad. Dagannem rim na Iant Vedui" Elrond answers.  (Translation: We've been hunting a pack of Orcs that came up from the South. We slew a number near the Hidden Pass). "Strange for Orcs to come so close to our borders. Something, or someone, has drawn them near" he states in the western tongue.

He holds up an Orc sword and shows it to everyone, then hands it to the elf beside Gandalf. "Ah, that may have been us" Gandalf says sheepishly. Thorin steps forward, and Elrond looks upon him with recognition. I notice the other elves have left on their horses. Garth receiving an apple from Bilbo.

"Welcome Thorin, son of Thrain" Elrond says.

"I do not believe we have met" Thorin states.

"You have your grandfather's bearing. I knew Thror when he ruled under the Mountain" Elrond explains.

"Indeed; he made no mention of you" Thorin states.

Ignoring this insult, Elrond turns to the dwarves and speaks to the elf he'd given the orc sword to. "Nartho i noer, toltho i viruvor. Boe i annam vann a nethail vin" he says in elvish. (Translation: Light the fires, bring forth the wine. We must feed our guests).

"What is he saying? Does he offer us insult?" Gloin asks.

"No, I believe he was offering food" I tell him.

"Aye he is" Gandalf states.

"Ah well, in that case, lead on" Gloin states.

"Lindir escort Elena here to the bathing chambers and Arwen bring her a dress" Elrond tells the elf. Who bows his head and offers me an arm. I take it and we leave.

After my much need bath. I put on the blue white dress Arwen had brought me. She then brushed my hair and did a simple braid for me. I thanked her and followed my nose the the court yard where the others are being served food. Only problem, there is no meat.

"Elena my dear, we have saved you a seat" Gandalf says gesturing to the one beside him. I join their table. "You look lovely" he states.

"Thank you, though I'll be happy when I have my clothes back" I state.

"They are being washed and mended as we feast" Elrond tells me. I not my feed. Elrond then examines the swords Gandalf and Thorin found in the trolls' hoard. While I eat my salad without complaint unlike the dwarves.  "This is Orcrist, the Goblin Cleaver. A famous blade, forged by the High Elves of the West, my kin. May it serve you well" he says handing Thorin back the sword. He then examines the one Gandalf had found. "And this is Glamdring, the Foehammer, sword of the King of Gondolin. These swords were made for the goblin wars of the First Age" he states.

"They are in fine condition then, considering they were found in a troll  hoard" I state.

"They are indeed" Elrond agrees. Suddenly Bofur's stands on his and the others long table.

"There is an inn, a merry old inn
beneath an old grey hill,
And there they brew a beer so brown
That the Man in the Moon himself came down
One night to drink his fill.

The ostler has a tipsy cat
that plays a five-stringed fiddle;
And up and down he runs his bow,
Now squeaking high, now purring low,
Now sawing in the middle.

The landlord keeps a little dog
that is mighty fond of jokes;
When there's good cheer among the guests,
He cocks an ear at all the jests
And laughs until he chokes.

They also keep a hornéd cow
as proud as any queen;
But music turns her head like ale,
And makes her wave her tufted tail
and dance upon the green.

And O! the rows of silver dishes
and the store of silver spoons!
For Sunday there's a special pair,
And these they polish up with care
on Saturday afternoons.

The Man in the Moon was drinking deep,
and the cat began to wail;
A dish and a spoon on the table danced,
The cow in the garden madly pranced,
and the little dog chased his tail.

The Man in the Moon took another mug,
and then rolled beneath his chair;
And there he dozed and dreamed of ale,
Till in the sky the stars were pale,
and dawn was in the air.

Then the ostler said to his tipsy cat:
'The white horses of the Moon,
They neigh and champ their silver bits;
But their master's been and drowned his wits,
and the Sun'll be rising soon!'

So the cat on his fiddle played hey-diddle-diddle,
a jig that would wake the dead:
He squeaked and sawed and quickened the tune,
While the landlord shook the Man in the Moon:
'It's after three!' he said" Bofur finishes singing. The dwarves ending their food fight. The feast ends and I am shown to my room for then night.

"If it's not any trouble, may you bring me some bacon?" I ask Lindir.

"Of course" he says and leaves. He soon returned and I eat it happily. I then fall asleep. Only the woken early the next morning by Kili and Fili. Who said we were leaving. So I quickly put on my normal clothes and weapons while they waited outside. I then joined them and we rejoined the others. We leave as Bilbo tells me we'd be meeting Gandalf in the mountains.
