Chloe's POV
The door opens and I see Violet. She smiles up at me. "Hi Chloe."

"Hey Violet," I say. "Jakob here?"

"Yeah," she answers. "He's in the lounge room. He's grumpy."

I kneel down. "Do you know why?"

She shrugs. "He's been like this since the car accident."

I nod. Sam comes into the hall and I laugh a little.

He was dressed in a tutu.

"Do you like it?" Violet asks. "Jakob let me bathe him, but he doesn't know I dressed him too."

"He looks beautiful," I answer. I stand back up and follow Violet to the lounge room. "Good afternoon Jakob," I say.

He smirks. "Hello Chloe."

"And you say you two don't like each other," Violet mutters. I watch her walk away upstairs.

I sit beside him. "Sorry I couldn't make it yesterday," I say to him.

"Family dinner?" He smirks.

"Yeah that was a horrible lie," I chuckle. "I, Uh, actually had a date."

"Oh," he says. "With who?"

I sigh. "I promised Rhys a couple of months ago I would go on a date with Hyde."

"How did it go?" Jakob asks, leaning back against the couch.

"We are going on another one," I state. "But I'm not here to gossip with you."

"Damn that's too bad," he says. "It was getting really juicy."

I roll my eyes. "Did you read the book?"

He nods. "Yep."

"Are you lying to me?"

"No," he says.

"What was it about then?" I ask.

"Uh, a girl falls in love with a boy?"

"Nope," I say. I sigh. "Jakob how are you suppose to learn if you won't do your homework?"

"It just takes so long," he groans.

"It won't once it becomes a everyday thing," I say. "I want you to read five chapters by tomorrow."

He grunts. "Fine."

"Start now," I say.

I grab the book from the coffee table and put it in his lap.

He snatches it and opens it. I watch as his eyebrows furrow as he feels the words.

This may take longer than I thought.

"Hi," I say to Hyde, as I sit across from him at the diner.

"Hey gorgeous," he says. I stop myself from cringing.

No Chloe, give him a chance.

"How are you?" I ask. I go to pick up the menu, but Hyde stops me.

"I already ordered for us," he states.

I frown. "How would you know what I want?"

"I ordered you a cob salad," he says. "Every girl eats salad."

I scowl at him, but he doesn't notice, as he checks out the waitress that walks past.

Are. You. Kidding. Me!?

This wasn't the guy I met three nights ago.

I clear my throat. "I don't care for you ordering for me," I say. "I am starving and really wanted a burger. And I don't like the fact that you just checked out that waitress, while you are on a date with me."

He shrugs. "I'm not gonna apologise. I just thought it was nice of me to order for you."

I grit my teeth. "I think I'm gonna go."

He stands up with me. "Oh okay."

"This isn't working out," I state. "Your not my type and I'm obviously not yours."

We say goodbye and I quickly get out of there.

I head over to Rhys's and bang on the door.

He opens it in his boxers. "What?" He asks, annoyed.

"You are a dick," I snap. "How could you set me up with that?"

He sighs. "Look he thought you were hot and I wanted to get in with his group, so since you owed me a favour I thought it was a good plan."

"It was not!" I explode. I storm past him into his bedroom. He follows me. "Firstly he ordered me a salad, without my approval-" Rhys cringes. "And then checked out the waitress."

"Jesus," Rhys mutters. "Chloe I'm so sorry, I owe you big time."

"Yes you do," I say, crossing my arms.

His door is suddenly slammed open and Bailey storms in.

This is just what I need.

"What is she doing here?" She growls at Rhys.

He sighs, clutching his head. "She had a bad date-"

"And thought you would comfort her," Bailey cuts in.

"No," Rhys snaps. "Bailey, she and I are best friends, nothing is going to happen."

"Yeah, so get that into that plastic head of yours," I snap.

Bailey glares at me. "Don't fucking talk to me, bitch."

I stand up. "What did you just call me?"

Rhys sighs. "Here we go."

"A bitch," Bailey spat. "I know what your up to. You want Rhys, but guess what, slut your not-" she gasps as I hit her in the face.

Fuck that felt good.
