Thomas' P.O.V.

The amount of random tests these people have done is... ungodly. It's pretty much all we've done. I can't help but be a little worried about the... inconsistency of it all. They've been giving everyone different kinds of tests.

Minho's tests almost always involved a treadmill, while they injected a bunch of other people with different needles. They've injected all kinds of vitamins and calcium and stuff, which is good, but . . . why aren't they giving it to everyone?

I grabbed my food and sat down next to Chuck at a table. Newt sat on my other side and Minho sat across from me. All of our group had miraculously managed to stay together. Except for the girls, of course.

How?

I have no earthly idea.

I began eating as the a few of the Gladers started talking to a few kids from a different maze. I heard Finnick and Chuck talking to some kid about his maze. I tuned out most of the conversation and kept my mind on what I had seen last night.

As I struggled to fall asleep, I heard a slight tapping noise and then I saw the grating over the air ducts gently fall forward. I jumped up and ran over there, to find a kid crawling out. He told me to trust him and to follow him. He led me through the air ducts, until we came to a grating on the bottom of the ducts.

He motioned for me to look down between the slots, and I did.

What I saw?

It sent shivers down my spine.

It was a cart, with a sheet over it. There was something under it. There was also a screen laying on the sheet, showing the anatomy of a human body. I assumed there was a body underneath the sheet.

He explained to me how they do this every night like clockwork.

"I don't think anybody actually leaves this place," he whispered.

They took a few kids everyday, saying they were being taken to a safe place. Far away from here and from Wicked. We watched as a guard unlocked the door with his key card and held it open, allowing the woman to wheel the cart inside. Once they were inside and the door was shut, we and I devised a plan.

We needed to see what was behind those doors.

I was yanked out of my thoughts by a voice calling my name.

"Thomas...?"

It was Y/n. I knew it was.

The fork I had been holding fell from my hands at the sound of her voice. When had she woken up? I closed my eyes and responded.

"Y/n, you're okay? When did you wake up?"

I waited a second for her response.

"I woke up yesterday. Where are you guys? Where's Teresa?"

I opened my eyes in shock, why isn't she with her? Y/n is awake and Teresa is supposed to be with her.

"She isn't with you?"

It didn't make any sense. She was away from Y/n when we thought she was still out cold, but now she is awake and hasn't seen Teresa at all.

"No, they said I could see her when her tests were done but that was yesterday and I'm getting a little worried. They won't let me see any of you guys," she said sadly.
