O N E

I woke up to the alarm sound of my clock and rubbed my eyes slowly getting up off the couch and stretching, I must've fallen asleep.

"Fell asleep on the couch again?" I heard a voice from the kitchen. "Your lucky it's Saturday"

Kelly Kapowski.

Let me get you up to speed.

I was studying to become a lawyer and lived in a small apartment shared with Kelly and my other friend Nina.

Me and Kelly met her in classes and she was really cool so now we all live together.

We kept in contact with the bayside gang sometimes, but it was always hard.

"Yeah" I sigh.

She tosses me a water bottle and I catch it.

I take a quick sip out of it.

"Dreaming of the morris kid again?" Nina adds on laughing and Kelly starts to laugh along.

I had told her everything about me and Zack, though Kelly already knew from high school.

"Shut up, I'm over him" I say.

"Hmmm" they both say.

"Let's go out for some coffee, that'll make you feel better" Nina says.

Kelly agrees.

"Alright I'm just gonna shower quickly" I say.

They nod there heads and I go shower and get ready for the day.

"Ready to go?" Kelly asks.

"Yep" I laugh and grab my wallet.

And lastly I slipped on the ring Zack had given me before I left, there wasn't a day that went by that I didn't wear it.

We walk over to the coffee shop.

"And you say your not over this guy? You wear his ring everyday!" Nina says as we walk to the shop.

"It's just a friendship ring" I say.

"Whatcha gonna get?" Kelly asks as we stand in line together.

"Hmm I think a Carmel latte. You?" I ask.

"Same thing as always" she says going up to order.

What she means by same thing as always is a mocha.

"I'm getting iced tea" Nina says going up to order.

I nod.

After she finishes ordering I go up and place my order.

Once we all get our drinks we walk around campus for awhile.

"we should order pizza tonight" Nina suggests says.

"Sounds good" Kelly says.

"Agreed" I say

We get back to our apartment and see Greg from across the hall coming out of his dorm.

"Hey Greg" I say.

I always had a small crush on him.

"Hey ladies" he says walking down the hall.

After that I open the door to our apartment and walk in.

I have to admit, we did decorate well.

We order the food and it arrives within the next 45 minutes.

We eat our pizza and have a conversation about classes.

"I can't wait for winter break, are you gonna go home?" Kelly asks.

"Winter break isn't until December, you know that right?" I laugh.

It was only October.

"Hey! I can still get excited about it. But seriously are you?" She asks again.

"Ya" I say "you?"

"Of course" she laughs.

I look over at Nina. "You gonna go home?" I ask.

"Most likely" she nods.

We all continue eating and I decided to spark another conversation.

"What about that Halloween party that you were talking about, when is that?" I ask.

"On Halloween?" Kelly laughs at my stupid question.

"What are we going as?" I ask.

"I was thinking we could wear skimpy outfits, like sexy police officers or something" Nina laughs.

"Hmm" I laugh.

"Well I'm gonna head to bed" Kelly says getting up and throwing away her plate.

"Same here" Nina says.

"Alright, I'm gonna study a little more" I sigh.

"Whatever, make sure you get some sleep though" she says.

"I will" I smile.

I head to the couch turning on the tv and opening up my books.
