In case you didn't know Dominic once took Amethyst under his wing since Amethyst wanted to train under him seeing how their combat style is somewhat similar to each other. But they had their demons to conquer. For Dominic it was his past of his mistakes and the trouble he caused as Nelo Angelo, while for Amethyst it was the scars she had, physically and mentally from her older sister Jade.
