Chapter 23

Maura's POV

I woke up to being carried into the car by Will.

"will, where are we going, it's dark" I said

"we're going to get dad" will said

"do you think he'll be the same?" I asked

"I think he's gonna be back to our da but I can't say for sure" I said

"okay" I said

Will put me in the car an my head fell right onto Cam.

We drove to the prison and once we got there, my dad was waiting for us.

He got in the front and I moved all the way to the back with Hayes.

"maura, I want you to know that if I was sober I would never do anything like that, I love you" my dad said

"I love you too daddy" I said

We got to the house and we all went inside.

"I'm going out who's coming?" will asked

Everyone was going except my dad so I decided to stay home with him.

"I'm gonna stay with dad" I said

Everyone left and my dad gave me a dirty look.

"I fooled you" he said then laughed.

"w-what?" I asked

"you thought I was serious, I hate you, you ruin everything and it's time for our plan to go through" my dad said

"please no" I said

I tried to back away as he stepped closer then I hit a wall.

"I was only nice when I got to come home that one night so I could get an earlier release" he said

"no stop please, I'll get out of your life" I said

"I'll make sure you do" he said

He slapped me across the face hard.

"please stop" I said

I tried to run and then he grabbed me and threw me on the floor.

My head hit the ground hard and hen he kicked me.

He started beating me and pulling my hair and whipping me with a belt and I just wanted to die already, this hurts.

I was gushing blood from my nose and back and then I saw my dad run out of the house and I heard a car pull out.

Everything went black.

I woke up and was still laying on the floor.

I started coughing and I couldn't control it and blood started coming out.

I coughed up all of the blood and then I got up and stuggled to get to the kitchen.

I did and I washed my face with water and I took my shirt off so I was in my sports bra and poured water on the whip wounds on my back.

It hurt so bad, I stopped and cried, I need help right now.

I went to the phone to call my mom.

I picked up the phone and called my mom.

m-maura mom-mom

mom-hello?
m-mom, please come home and help me.
mom-what's wrong honey?
m-I need help
mom-I'm almost there

I hung up and sat in the ground crying.

I saw a car pull up and my brothers, m, and cam came running in.
