"You shouldn't come with me. Baka hindi ka pa makapunta sa night out niyo. I could tell the-" He cut me off again
"I don't care kung hindi ako makapunta. Mababad-shot ako sa kuya mo." Nakapamulsa siya habang magkapanabay kaming naglalakad papunta sa elevator.
He really cares about kuya's sentiment about him huh?Nang makasakay ay pinindot ko na ang button papunta sa floor ko.
Habang naghihintay ay bigla kong naalala ang kanina ko pa gustong itanong sa kanya. I am clearly intrigued with the question I bear in mind.
"Do your friends know?" I asked him
He looked at me with amusement in his eyes. He was please about my question.
"That I like you? Yes kaya ka nga natawag kanina ni Liedin. They know you but if it's the agreement you are worried about they're clueless."
He is pretty vocal about his feelings about me so...
Nakahinga ako nang malalim.
"Like I said, susunod ako sayo basta pumayag ka." He smiled
" And since you don't want anyone to know I kept it a secret." Dagdag pa niya
"Boss kita e." Ngisi pa nito
Napatingala ako sa kanya na mayroong naniningkit na mga mata.
"Why did you offered me that?" Tanong ko
Frustrated niyang ginulo ang buhok niya saka tumingin sa akin.
"Cute mo kase." Pinisil niya pa ang ilong ko but I saw a glimpse of pain in his eyes.
Was it really pain? Or was it my imagination?
"Coelth Diez Sayson po, Sir." Coelth offered his hand to my father.
"Are you somehow related to Czerise Deien Sarzaga? And please drop the 'Sir' I am not your boss. Call me Tito and call Seila's mom Tita." Balik ni Papa sa kanya. I can sense that my father knows about his existencre and he is just asking out of courtesy.
"Yes I am po, she is my mother." Sabi niya nang may halong pangangamba thinking that papa or any one of us would judge but papa just nodded at nagpatuloy sa pag-kain.
I wonder why they have different surnames for a little while but then I remembered the gossips. Then I concluded that it is true.
Given the circumstances, I must say that his mother raised him well.
Nakita ko naman si mama na nakatingin sa akin. Nanlalaki ang mga mata. Sumandal ito sa kinauupuan niya habang nakahalukipkip.
"Noong isang araw kausap kita hindi mo man lang sinabi ang tungkol dyan." Nagtatampong sabi ni mama sa akin at umirap pa nga ito.
"Oo nga Ylzi kailan mo pa balak sabihin ang tungkol dito?" Segunda naman ni Kuya halatang gustong-gusto na makita akong ginigisa nila mama.
Humahanap pa ako ng lusot hanggang sa may naalala ako.
"Well, I was gonna introduce him to you guys this weekend. 'Di ba I told you that I'm gonna come home and have a sleepover with the girls sana and invite him for dinner." Paliwanag ko naman
Mukhang lumusot naman at nagpatuloy na kaming kumain. Tumango-tango pa ang aking ina habang ngumunguya.
"I want you to meet him in person so I decided to keep it a secret." Dagdag ko pa
Nagku-kwentuhan kami tungkol sa lovelife ni kuya nang biglang mag-ring ang cellphone ni Coelth tumayo ito at nagpaalam na sasagutin ang tawag at nagpunta sa living room.
"I like that guy" Papa commented
My brows crossed.
"Their firm may be the rival of ours but I must say they are good people. Knowing Czerise, she's a great woman afterall." My mom added into dad's sentiment.
I know they are our bussiness rival but based on my mother's statement... It looks like there is more than the surface. I bet confusion was etched on my face reason for my father to clear things up.
"Your mom, Czerise, and I went to the same school back then."
Oh, so that's why.
I nodded
"You better invite him for dinner sa weekend ha and I'll have your room cleaned para sa sleepover niyo ng mga girls." mama said
Hindi na ako nakahindi.
Naramdaman kong bumalik na si Coelth sa tabi ko ngunit hindi na ito muling umupo
"I'm sorry but I need to go na po Ma'am, Sir, Kuya Seige and Sei." Paalam ni Coelth
"Oh no, It's fine hijo just come to our home on Saturday for dinner. Seila, accompany your boyfriend." Sabi ni mama na ang unang sumagot
Tumayo ako saka siya sinamahan hanggang sa parking lot. "Pumunta ka daw sa bahay namin sa Sabado, I'll text you the address." I told him while we where silently walking through the hallway. Nakakailang kasi.
He smiled at me warmly. "Oo pupunta ako." He held my hand I had the urge of pulling it back because of the electricity I felt running through our hands
"Ah! Saglit may ibibigay ako sayo." Tumigil kami sa paglalakad nang matapatan na namin ang kotse niya
Pumasok siya sa loob at kinuha ang isang maliit na paper bag
"I am not fond of gifts you know" I told him
Ngumuso naman ito kaya napangiti nalang ako. I am not a fan of gifts especially when there's no reason for someone to give one but I am happy they thought of me whenver they have a gift.
"Come on, open it please?" Okay, he's using the puppy eyes kaya sinilip ko ang paper bag at nakitang mayroong mga scrunchies sa loob na sa bilang ko ay tatlo
Napatingin ako sa kanya nang mayroong nagniningning na mga mata. Natawa siya sa hitsura ko saka ginulo ang buhok ko.
"Not fond of gifts eh? Scrunchy lang pala katapat mo" He chuckled
I hugged him.
